Duru did a great job repairing and sealing my deck. He came when scheduled and was very prompt.

Doru came to my home the next day after contacting him and he gave me a detailed estimate and explained what needed to be done and how he would do it. I gave him ½ of the estimate cost. After 2 days I realized I had other financial obligations and would require my money back. Doru was very nice and understanding and he sent me my money back within 3 days.

Doru, did an AMAZING job on repairing our deck. My husband burn a small hole through it. His estimate is by far the most reasonable than anyone we contacted. He shown up on time. He explained everything in details about how he would fix it and also gave us a couple recommendations. We could not be happier. We already scheduled him to come back to refinished our deck next spring. This is the guy you want to call.

We are so glad we listened to the other reviews here on Unilocal and went with Doru (the owner) to refurbish our 20 year old deck! Other contractors didn’t seem to understand what we wanted but Doru hit the nail on the head! Very responsive and great with all communication, Doru came out to access our deck and recommended replacing some boards and adding some structural components to make the deck more sturdy before coating the whole thing with long-​lasting Deck Helmet. Due to some issues with neighbors and our HOA (which Doru navigated very professionally and quickly) we decided to do part of the deck with a semi-​transparent stain that also looks great even if it won’t last as long as the deck helmet.
Doru worked diligently through high temperatures and the project was finished ahead of schedule and it looks like we have a brand-​new deck! We couldn’t be more pleased with the work.

Hire this guy! Doru, the owner, is fantastic. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. He was extremely reliable, on time, great with communication, knowledgable, honest and our deck and fence look amazing! He provided an estimate within a few days of contact. It was a very fair price considering the condition the deck was in. He messaged me each day at the start and end of the job. We had a problem with one of the boards after he was done (unrelated to the work he performed) and he came to fix it the next business day. Our deck and fence look brand new! I’m planning to hire him to work on our deck at our rental house and adding him to our HOA list for recommended contractors.

Our 20+ year old deck was looking pretty bad. Doru came out and looked over the deck and made some suggestions for structural improvements that the original contractor had overlooked. We ended up going with a pressure washing and coating with a Deck Helmet plasticizer. Doru was excellent at letting us know when he would be working on the project and made sure to cover everything with plastic sheeting to prevent overspray from the areas that were sprayed. He cleaned up everything and made sure we were satisifed with the final result. I would highly recommend Deck Buddy.
