If this wasn’t the only Mexican place In town, it would be out of business. Horrible. Just horrible. Salsa was bland. Tortilla chips were over cooked. Both enchiladas(cheese and beef) were tasteless. The chili relleno was okay. I couldn’t finish my meal.

Very good salsa! The restaurant from the outside looks like a dump and I was hesitant to go in however on the inside it is really very nice. Superclean very cute bathrooms. The enchiladas were very good and the La Hacienda nachos were very good. They brought frosty mugs with the beer which was a nice touch. Even though they had just opened at 5PM the service was very quick and efficient. They are closed from 2 to 5PM

This is the ONLY Mexican place in town. My favorite dish is their steak quesadilla! This is traditional tex-mex style cooking. While the rice is sub-par, the beans are spot on. Guacamole has a little too much lime. Salsa is spicy without a cause. It is basically tomatoes with peppers added and no depth of flavor. Don’t expect a kid-friendly establishment. We waited over 30 minutes before I had to take my kid to the car and wait to take it home. Carry-out service is pretty good. You have to be very specific when ordering by phone or in person. They don’t deal well with substitutions or if you call because they messed up your order. For the only Mexican place in town it is not awful. I am married to a Mexican and am from TX, the land of the best Mexican food in the US.

This place is not the easiest place to find. You will miss it if you don’t see the big«MEXICANRESTAURANT» on the back of a building riding down Washington. It’s right next door to Rescue’s and behind Keith-A-Que and pretty much in the same parking lot as Piggly Wiggly(I recommend accessing it from the Piggly Wiggly parking lot). I’ve ridden by it several times and did not notice it for a long time. I was expecting some dingy hole-in-the-wall, but it was actually a very nice little restaurant. The tables were nice and nothing looked really beat up. It is a small family business and they clearly take pride in what they are doing. They are not open from about 2PM to 5PM daily. The chips and salsa was pretty standard fare and better than many Mexican restaurants. I didn’t taste any cilantro or anything like that in the salsa. I know some people find it repugnant. The cheese dip was pretty good. I heard that they used to put jalapenos in it. I could only imagine large nacho jalapenos in it and I actually thought that sounded pretty good. I ordered the Chimichanga Dinner(ground beef). It didn’t take very long to get my meal and I uploaded a picture of it. It was plated pretty well I think. The chimichanga itself was very good. They certainly spice their beef and it had some heat to it, but it had flavor as well. The shell was crunchy and delicious and the Mexican rice underneath paired well with the meat. Some people may want to have some extra sour cream with their meal to counter the extra heat. The guacamole was pretty standard and reminded me of other restaurants. The guacamole was not the best I’ve ever had, but it was still good. The beans didn’t really feel like they were good for the meal, but I’m not a huge refried bean fan and never find them impressive. I would have much rather had more rice and more guacamole salad. The service was excellent, quick and friendly.

Some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Bland and completely without flavor. Taco Bell would be preferable to this.
