Before you take a table ask if sides including onion rings and chips are available. They might not be. As was the case after we sat down. Otherwise an okay place.

Ended up here after a long day at the zoo. Great beer selection(according to our waitress they had recently added more taps.) We had the fried green beans and fried pickles for appetizers both were delicious. We all had various sandwiches off the menu for which there were no complaints. As others have mentioned the sweet potato fries are delicious. Service was ok, however this was by far the friendliest waitress we have ever encountered.

Good pizza dough, Waitress was nice. Barkeep acted put off when I asked for a channel change though. Left early and went back to the motel to watch the game.

Pizza was the best I ever had. Health inspection grade 94 and men’s bathroom smelled bad. Service was wonderful.

If I could give negative stars I would. We live in Asheboro and decided to give this place another shot because it had been a good while since we ate there. HELLNO! Exact same issues… Service is piss poor we waited for 35 mins for some sandwiches. Food was horrible, nasty, almost inedible and cold. Hot chips and fries were cold and burnt. We picked at what we could just because we were so hungry. Wait staff never once asked how things were or we would have told them. Bottom line do yourself a favor and never, ever, waist your money in this crap hole. Plenty of other options around town with great food at far better prices. Im actually embarrassed this place exists when we are trying to draw business downtown. This place will run folks away.

They were so good we want a branch in Pittsburgh! The food and the staff were great. We loved the jalapeño poppers, onion rings, well everything. Good times.

Great place, definitely the jewel of Asheboro’s bar scene. Barry continues to maintain the most respectable alcohol establishment in Randolph Co. Only thing that could make it better is more space. Cheers!

Outstanding service, and our salads and pizza came out promptly and HOT. Pizza was good but a bit overrated. All in all, satisfied.

Best bar in Asheboro! I think I’ve had everything on the menu over the past 5 years and it’s all great! Best known for their pizza!

Was told I needed to take a drive and check this place out. On a Sunday I drove from Raleigh to Asheboro and I am glad I did. The service was great, low key very friendly staff, large variety on the menu, server was very attentive. Ordered sweet potato fries, and one of there specialty pizzas. Wow on the pizza crust, the sweet potato fries and the dipping sauce where all great. Cold beer, and great place to have a nice meal from local owners. Do make the drive and check it out, will head back again soon

Mom and Pop joint, with seeming family members and friends making up the majority of the staff. All in all a good place, service was a little slow. Good food and drink selection for a smaller joint. Located right down town we didn’t have a hard time finding parking but on a busier night you may have to park and walk a bit.

Fabulous service. Grilled porkchop was more like a ground pork patty, so I was a little disappointed. The marinated vegetable salad and sweet potato fries were excellent though, as were the pig wings appetizer. Yum!

Delicious food, large servings, and great service. What more could you want in a friendly downtown atmosphere? I’ll say, not much more needed. Stop in and see for yourself. The pizza never fails to satisfy The calzone is far too large to eat alone so be sure to bring a friend along to help.

We stopped in to watch a basketball game and to grab lunch. I wouldnt necessarily say this is the best place to watch a game but they have several TVs and it worked for us. the service was good. Our drinks were kept full. The Angry Okra is awesome! For my meal I had the pulled pork sandwhich with onion rings. Half my onion rings were awesome and the other half were horrible. Luckily I had so much food I didnt care about the bad half. The sandwhich was great though the bottom of the bun did get a little soggy.

Great service. They serve typical bar food at responable prices. They give large portions. I recommend the queso dip and chips. It was plenty for a party of four. Everyone in our group enojoyed their entrees. Nice atmosphere for hanging out with friends for a drink. I would go back if I were going to eat in Asheboro.

Pleasant surprise for Asheboro! This is the place to be if you’re in town and want a beer, tvs, and some pretty good food. I wouldn’t be the first to brag about our local restaurants, but«The Pig» can beat the bars in cities like GSO, RDU, and CLT. Food is always fresh and the drinks are quick and cold. Satisfied thus far!

My son’s travel baseball team often plays in Asheboro and we usually have a few hour break between games. Tired of fast food, some of the baseball mommas went to the Flying Pig for lunch. It was fantastic! Was my first time having fried pickles and they were addictive. We had white chili, a few sandwiches and sweet potato fries. Everything was fresh and very tasty. One of the owners came over to welcome us and chat. Very friendly staff and great food. My new favorite lunch spot in Asheboro!

A local favorite since on site restaurant alcohol sales were voter approved in Asheboro –«When pigs can fly”– Specializing in wide variety of tasty somewhat unique pizza, with a few other choices also available for those not so inclined. Cozy, casual/friendly atmosphere generally but can become pretty loud and crowded in evenings, when many of the younger locals come by for pizza and beer.

This place is wonderfully situated on Sunset Ave in Asheboro’s historic downtown. It opens at noon for lunch, and it filled up quickly on the day we visited. My friend and I ambitiously ordered the fresh chips appetizer and a Hawaiian pizza — to split. This defeated us, and in hindsight we could have done without the chips, which were crispier than I like them. The pizza, on the other hand, was quite tasty. The crust is fresh and has some yeast in it. The cheese stood out as particularly flavorful. Anyway, I recommend it.
