Dirty South is a great place to watch sports. No frills, but great bar service and a big screen to watch the game. It’s usually pretty chill until 11pm, so if you’re there for sports before that, you can grab a table and be able to talk with your group while you watch. Of course, for non-sports related visits, it’s a great place to bring a group of friends for a great drink and hang out. it’s usually not too loud to hold a conversation, which I like.

For a while this is my go to late-night bar. Typically filled with all manner of tourist and service people. It’s a fun little place to go with the weather is warm to sit in the outside patio. They’ll even have a DJ playing music from time to time and spicy things up. Inside the space is small but intimate to call was quite simple. The only thing that keeps us from five stars is that the bar staff tends to be a tad slow but the servings that folks are really nice

What a cool joint. We were in town for Moogfest, but it was freezing and we saw a sign for«Dirty South.» Sold. On one side there are swanky couches and tables(just a few) tucked away in the dark. Very isolated and chill if that’s what you’re looking for. There are also about 10 tables and a small but well stocked bar. Good beers on tap and decent prices. There are even pool tables and darts on the other end of the bar. On a Sat night they had a DJ and it was full, but comfortably so. Seemed like a young professionals crowd, not a bunch of college students, but a moderately lively crowd nonetheless. If I lived in Asheville, this would definitely be one of my staples.
