My dad and I went to Krispy Kreme on Patton Ave to celebrate National Donut Day, and Ms. Bobbi took excellent care of us. Sat down with a dozen hot ones and each of us got a special free one in celebration… a wonderful midday snack!

I flew into North Carolina last night to attend a conference here. But before the conference I did some flyfishing today with some business contacts. Of course, you can’t go flyfishing without feeding the machine! So, before heading to the mountains, we decided to stop by Krispy Kreme and get some donuts for the road. I heard that this is where they started the company so I had the bar set pretty high when I walked in the door. The girl behind the counter was very helpful when we asked about certain donuts and she told us which donuts were her favorites. I ordered the orange cream and some hot original donuts as well as some others. Surprisingly I found the orange cream to be too rich for my taste. That’s really saying something because I always tell people there is no such thing as desserts that are too rich! But it was almost sickly sweet. Nevertheless, the hot original ones were just as amazing as they always are at every location of Krispy Kreme. They are an amazing experience and something I know I can count on wherever I am at. Thanks Krispy Kreme for feeding my addiction.

First off I love Krispy Kreme. I decided to bring my son there for his birthday and this particular one was horrible. The store was dingy, the coffee sucked and the staff, mostly represented by teen kids were indifferent. You could tell they really didn’t want to be there. The doughnuts were doughy and it just wasn’t the quality I was used to. We left $ 12 poorer and disheartened.

My husband tried to get into«Hole» yesterday, but was thwarted by legions of cars with peeps addicted to geometric pastries. So, we went to «Krispy Kreme» instead. He got the powdered strawberry-filled doughnut. I got the maple glazed one. We took one bite and almost fell out of our chairs. They were fresh and delicious. They are super sweet– some doughnuts are even doubly glazed with an all-around light glaze, then a glazed flavor on top. Hot coffee is so-so. They also have drinks to go, such as their own iced coffee in vanilla, caramel, and regular. Bags are already at the service island, so you do not have to ask for one if the sugar is burning your mouth. Prices are cheap and they were nice. There are a few tables, and they are mostly clean. The floor would fit right in at Willy Wonka’s house– sticky with sucrose from different sources. I forgive them for this, as I have to return for more calories. Listen, I am too old to hunt for the doughnut with locally grown sugar cane and organic lemon that one has to have to be accepted into certain cliques. Go here if you like lots of doughnuts with little people milling about. Other Remembered Flavors: –Blueberry Cake Glazed –Powdered Apple Cinnamon-Filled –Strawberry Glazed –Glazed Glazed –Glazed

I am not a fan of this Krispy Kreme. Maybe I am a bit biased since Durham got a new one right as I moved away. and this one just looks a bit unkept. The donuts I got last time were flavorless. The glazed ones are usually a-ok, but the others were kinda gross. Save your money and go to Hole.

We stopped here for the deal of the day, showed up at 11pm, sign says that the restaurant is open for another hour. We go to open the door and it’s locked. There are people inside the restaurant but they won’t let us inside to use the restroom. Worst experience ever! The cashier couldn’t even take our order, when we get up to the window to ask about it she isn’t even sorry about it. Tells me to call and talk to corporate.

I saw the sign was lit signifying doughnuts were coming hot off the line around 2:00 pm so I stopped in to get some. Personally I only like them hot and fresh. The employees were VERY unprofessional. The doughnuts I got were stone cold. I called the # on the box and was informed Their doughnuts are NEVER hot off the line in the afternoon. She said if the sign is lit after 11:00 am to ignore it. In other words this store lies about when the doughnuts are being made. I will never return to this store.

I miss Krispy Kreme back home so when I get the chance I have to stop in. Wait when the red lights on I’ll have to pay a visit! There’s nothing better than a piping hot original glaze donut that melts in your mouth goodness. Fantastic!

Grew up on glazed donuts and didn’t try Krispy Kreme till we moved to the South. They serve one of the best glazed donuts around! We also love the cinnamon bun, lemon & strawberry filled(this is the only location I have been able to find the strawberry filling) donuts as well. Having lived in different states has allowed us to try many donut shop/café’s and I have to say California missed out on one of the best donut franchises that serves great coffee as well and settled for so-so(even horrible) overpriced donuts in other shops.

Good donuts, ridiculously slow service. One man waited 15 min for a dozen glaze. i was in line behind him– over a 20 minute wait for 3 donuts. I wouldn’t go back.
