Shindig on the Green

Always a fun event! It’s free, and even if you don’t commit to the point where you’re bringing chairs and camping out early for the best spot, it’s still fun. You can dance a little, grab some ice cream from the Ultimate Ice Cream truck that’s always there, and people watch to your heart’s content. My fiancé and I really enjoy it, and it’s perfect for those weekends when money is just a bit tight.

Lovely concert series in Pack Square! Really enjoy this summer tradition — free music, dance and entertainment. Seating is plentiful, either bring your own chair or pop down on one of the many terraced seating areas on either level of the square. A really cool event that’s family friendly and a great addition to a night out on the town. For a real treat — take a walk backstage where bands practice before and after their sets, it’s like enjoying several concerts in a matter of minutes.
