I arrived a little earlier than they opened. The gentleman that opened the shop was apologetic, explaining they had just changed their hours(opening now at 9 instead of 7). The vibe is perfect for a drink with a friends… or an iced chai which is my drink of choice at 9am. The drink was great and I really liked the vibe. It’s one of the few coffee shops that isn’t super packed in the mornings, which I can appreciate. They have live music events and various community events in the space downstairs, too. There’s also a patio with plenty of seating. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out! Lots to offer, support local.

The second time here reinforced the first. Quite comfy and relaxing, but not in a plush lounge lizard way. The server is very knowledgable, friendly, and ready to offer suggestions. Coffee is good, and they have coconut milk in addition to the standard dairy and almond, maybe soy too. A special added bonus, is the ability to actually park in their private lot, easy access from Montford, Wall Street, etc, just a couple blocks west of Pritchard Park. What a relaxing spot, a good stopover when you’re going from one part of Asheville to another. And the prices are decent too!

The venue has the space, why not be open all day. Its a great concept and I’ll frequent it, I just hope that the get the foot traffic they deserve being a block or 2 away from the busier parts of Asheville. Hopefully this Unilocal review will help draw some of the non-local crowds that might not know about it otherwise. Its more or less a coffee/tea bar that has plenty of booze as well. The vibe is awesome, the back porch is beautiful, and there is even ping pong. They have some small bites and pastries as well. I honestly havn’t tried anything except for the booze, but the cocktails I’ve had were great, and there are plenty of beers available. The amazing ladies behind the bar are quite friendly and attentive. What else can you ask for really. I love how much effort they have put into all the venues in this complex. Really a game changer as far as the Asheville scene goes.
