While many women seek this type of therapy to help alleviate menstrual pain or to help coax their fertility back it can also be useful for men (check out the website). Charlotte doesn’t yet have practioners of Maya Abdominal Massage. It’s a long drive to Asheville for a «massage» but I’m happy I experienced it. It was very gentle and relaxing– I’ll know more about the effectiveness with a little more time. I definitely thought this business was worth mentioning. Maria and Nikki are both Nurse-​herbalists. My appt was with Maria (I haven’t met Nikki yet). She has a very accepting, nurturing attitude, in addition to being knowledgeable. The office was clean, tidy, and decorated in a relaxed, soothing way. It smelled beautifully and they have a good– sized apothecary set up, in view as you walk in. The office is located near downtown Asheville and within easy walking distance of several places to enjoy a bite to eat.
