Car had been vibrating after hitting a sizable New England spring pothole. I had another tire shop diagnose a bubble in the tire and bent rim so I had 4 tires put on at the other tire shop — car still vibrated. Brought it into A-​1 this morning and Jeff gave it a thorough review spending time re-​balancing the tires (some were off) and really trying to diagnose the issue. He took me through the details of what he did and how we might possibly get the rim fixed if the vibration is still around. He asked to have me call him either way when I test it on the highway tomorrow. Having just relocated to the area recently, I think that I just found my local auto shop.

The previous review was obviously a very angry person. A-​1 has been servicing my car for over 10 years and not once did I have a problem. Jeff and Gary are very courteous. They explain the work that needs to be done in a way that is easily understood (for us mechanically challenged). They have always had my car repaired in the timeframe which they told me. I do not have any complaints. A1 is terrific!

I live down the street from A1, and consider myself lucky that they are so close by. I bring all my cars there for routine maintenance and all the guys who work there are so nice. I am a «car girl» so have never worried about being ripped off since I generally know what I do and do not need done before I get to the store– but I’d recommend coming here to any girls that have no clue. These guys are super honest and only do what is necessary.
The pricing is fair, and when I had a headlight that went out twice in a very short period, I just swung by the store and one of the guys came out and put a new one it for no charge at all.
Every time I go, I spend some time having a nice conversation with the staff and it makes the experience of having work done to my car fun. They remember me every time I come– true personal, small shop feel.
