Overall was a pretty good buffet. I loved the shrimp with onions, thecoconut chicken, the pepper steak, and the roasted chicken. The rice was cooked well and the egg rolls were tasty. My water was kept full, but we had to wait a little for some things to get filled. Other than that it was servicable but most dishes lacked a little more spice.

First off, this place gets an extra star just because it’s located in Ashland. This town is sort of a food wasteland, and the Brian Buffet takes advantage of that. If it were anywhere else it would probably be ok, but nothing to write home about. But since it’s 30 minutes to any other place with food – well, this place gets the benefit of the doubt! The stars of our meal were not surprising: the lo mein was excellent, as were the green beans and crab rangoon. I would go back in a heartbeat just for these three things. I also really enjoyed the stir fry station(a cook will make it for you) and the fact that everything was kept rotated and fresh. It’s a pretty positive thing when you realize that the employees are taking out old food and replacing it on a regular basis. Additionally, our plates were cleared very fast and the tea tasted great. The plates at the buffet were all very clean – if well used. And the booths were comfortable. The only thing that was a little off was that it was so quiet. Either there was no music or it was very, very low. Sort of felt like a library in that you felt bad if you didn’t whisper. Basically, I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. And as far as I’m concerned it’s one of only three restaurants in Ashland worth going into for a sit-down meal.(This, Happy Grape and Besta Fasta).
