The BEST fabric in the Rogue Valley — great variety of garment and quilting fabric, indie patterns and some great notions. Small space, but always FULL of inspiration for sewing projects. The staff members are all knowledgeable sewers and will answer questions and troubleshoot challenges with you. The only problem is you’ll want to buy more fabric than you have time for sewing it!

Oh my god, the FABRIC here is awesome. One of my favorite quilt fabric stores to visit for Asian fabrics and if I’m looking for something very unique.

I visited this shop twice while I was in Ashland because there was just so much good stuff to add to my stash. The selection of fabrics, especially hard to find Japanese imports is fantastic. All the ladies that helped me were incredibly friendly. I will definitely come here again any time I am anywhere nearby :)

My first trip to Ashland and I had to look up Sandy. I had heard how wonderful her shop was. I knew her from her store in Trinidad many years ago. It’s in a great old brick building right downtown. It is full of wonderful textures and colors. I was inspired with some Japanese fabric I had never seen anywhere else. Sandy is so helpful. She knows how to quilt and her shop reflects that.

After our beetle-enhanced dinner Thursday night, Nina and I were walking back to the car when my eye was caught by an adorable, colorful piece of fabric in the window of this store. It had a caterpillar, a branch and a butterfly in separate pictures, bordered by colorful polka dots. It was a night of entomology, good and bad. The store is small and crammed full of interesting bolts of cloth. We had wandered into it last year or the year before and admired the quilts on the walls. The building, which used to house the auto parts store and maybe a camera store a few years ago, has been divided into a few small shops, of which this is one. My youngest nephew and his wife just had a baby and the butterfly/caterpillar fabric was perfect for a baby quilt. We returned the next day and I bought a panel plus enough of a matching polka dot fabric to make a back and border for the quilt. All I have to do now is haul out the sewing machine and pick up some batting to fill the quilt. Never mind that I haven’t made a quilt since the one I made for DGD when she was little. It will be wonderful.
