Looking for something outdoor related? this is the place to go. I usually try to make it their once a week just to look and see what new stuff they have in. Usually experience really good customer service. I’ve had a couple bad experiences with some workers but they don’t last long. for the most part the people in the departments are very knowledgeable about what they are selling and strive to give you the best experience they can. I trust and respect the advice given by these guys. Looking forward to my next trip their!

My husband took me to Fin, Feather and Fur on Memorial Day weekend since we were in the area. I just started turkey hunting and can’t wait for deer season! Our prime objective was to talk to the staff about a shotgun with a shorter stock than normal since women generally have shorter arms than men. The gentleman behind the counter was SO respectful and courteous that I relaxed immediately. My general assumption about hunting is that it’s a «man’s sport». I was a little intimidated about going into FF&F to discuss guns — even with my husband there. Our experience there was outstanding! The staff is knowledgeable and patient. The store has a HUGE selection of firearms too! The clothing at the store is different from that offered at other sportsman specialty stores. The shoe selection at FF&F is exceptional — though a bit on the expensive side. Their fishing department is also impressive. We left with a myriad of funny t-shirts and rubs/spices. We’ll be back to prepare for deer season!

Good selection and prices. Plus having people that actually know what they are selling is always a positive experience. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

I enjoy hunting and shooting all guns. This place has grown over the years but still offers great service and great prices. I live nearby which means they get all my firearms business. I have been to all the big name stores and their prices never compare to the Fin. The owner Mike is a great guy and even gave my wife and I tickets to a prime rib dinner one day while we were talking to him. I like the on-site shooting range, it’s small but perfect for sharpening your skills.

Like guns? Hunting? Camouflage? Knives? Archery? If so, you are certainly in the right location. FFF isn’t quite as large as say a Cabella’s or Bass Pro Shop, but I think these people — clientele and staff — are way more hard core and know their stuff. I just live in the area and wanted to pop in to check it out. I was a tad intimidated by the sheer number of people purchasing fire arms and bows. These peeps aren’t F@&$ing around in central Ohio! I have a feeling if you need advice on anything related to killing/self defense, then FFF would be a great place to go. They have insane inventory of all things hunting and camping. If you are a gun freak, hunter, or good olé country folk, then FFF is the place for you!

I usually go to the fin in Cleveland but was heading back from Columbus and stopped in. I couldn’t believe just how big this location is compared to the one I usually go to. they had a huge selection of firearms, ammo, and my favorite area downstairs, the reloading supplies. I’ve found that on many guns, the Fin has prices less than you’ll see them at a gun show for. if you want something you don’t see then they can check another location and get it in for you or you can go pick it up. I’ll also say say that the people always seem to be friendly, no matter how busy the store seems to be. You do not see this at other retailers for the most part, with one other being Costco. Everyone was asking me if I needed help, and even after the sale when I had a an issue/question they took care of the problem immediately.

First Impression(***): It’s tucked away by a Perkins. Didn’t have enough information to make a judgment. Actual Impression(****): «It’s bigger on the inside!» Compared to Cabella’s, this is more weapons-focused, although the hiking gear is pretty substantial. Lasting Impression(*****): It serves my outdoor purposes when I am up that way.

Phenomenal selection, they’ve got very nearly everything out there and can usually order the rest. FFL transfers are higher than others though, and their prices are as well. Staff is friendly and helpful, but usually have far too many people to deal with to help everyone in a timely fashion. The indoor pistol range(it’s in the basement) leaves a lot to be desired, but is serviceable. If nothing else, they’re the place to go to hold something in person and decide if you like it. No NFA toys offered here yet.

I searched for over 6 months to find a particular firearm made by Springfield. Finally I found exactly what I was looking for at Fin Feather. I live out of state but Craig Conrad got back to me the very next day after I left an email. He even called me when the store was closed. Now that is great customer service. Even though I had to go through a little red tape to make the purchase(not the fault of Fin Feather) I could not be happier with the service I received. Makes me wish I lived in Ashland so I could shop here all the time. I think the service I received is what things used to be like when retailers actually wanted to serve their customers instead of just taking their money. Thank you Mr. Conrad for helping me find what I had been looking for and for giving me the best price in the USA. As a police officer I will be carrying my new sidearm everyday and will Some day pass it on to my son.

My only gripe is that it is not closer to home. The ammo is cheap. The guns are cheap. The inventory is plentiful. I love standing around with my fellow brothers and sisters who honor and support our second amendment rights. These are the people I want to be around when it «hits the fan». Everyone else that knocks it, we will see what you will be knocking when 2012 happens. Or Planet X comes into our orbit. Or when the greys or reptilians descend upon our pathetic planet. You will be knocking on my door begging for help! I will be inside with guns, beef jerky, camping supplies, astronaut food and other stuff I bought at this store!

Now 25 years old, «The Fin» is a great sucess story of a family owned sporting goods store that employs over 60 people and is the #1 seller of firearms in Ohio. The Fin has supported local conservation organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever with $ 1000’s dollars donation every year. An extensive offering(3 floors) of anything needed for Fishing(i’m talking 100’s & huntreds of Rods reels etc lures), Hunting(guns, reloading supplies, ammo, gun safes), just about any outdoor activity and even a shooting range for trying out that pistola. The camo selection is very extensive, male, female, baby camo they got it. I only given them a 4 star rating because I feel they could have a larger waterfowl hunting area. Their sales flyers are out monthly and usually have some great bargins. Located just east of I-71&US250 exit, right across street from Grampa’s Cheesebarn(great selection of cheese & candy). Usually closed on Mondays, except for the month of November– Deer season is BIG Business!
