Haven’t had a bad experience yet and doubt I will! Staff is quick, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been helped many times by Emilia and she is very pleasant and efficient! Not sure if she is management, but a great representation for the team. Food is quick and very delicious with excellent portions, never disappointed. Thanks!

Really good service, quiet and romantic ambiance, fairly priced(despite Ashland’s city food tax) and the food was excellent too. I had minestrone, which was tomato-based, which was a first for me. Lots of fresh kidney beans and zuccini, and it was hot and tasty. Then I had lasagna, which was packed with high-quality cheese and thick tasty noodles. I was so full so fast that even the next morning when I enjoyed my leftovers I was happy that we had eaten there.

My husband and I love to go to Martino’s. We order the eggplant parmesan, and it is big enough for both of us. With caesar salad and wine, and the ambiance, and sometimes music, it is a very romantic dinner. We are always treated very well by the staff and feel like family when we go there. If you come during theater season, make a reservation for sure, or come early or late to avoid the crowd. The back door takes you right to the Bowmer Theater and the Green Show. There is also beautiful outdoor seating by the theaters in the back and on the Main street balcony in the front.

I ate here last night(a Friday night), and it was absolutely fabulous! I had made a reservation out on the front patio. It was the prettiest view and first Friday was going on so there was music and people everywhere. I ordered a glass of Pinot noir and it was delicious and the food was even better!(although it was a little pricey for me. $ 19.00 for a plate of pasta??) But the service was good and friendly. I would definitely go here again, but maybe only for special occasions because of how expensive all of the entrees were!

Food was great, I got pizza and it was delicious. The waitress wasn’t so friendly, she was very sassy(not the good way). We ate in the balcony, there were ants and flies all over. If there is a next time I’ll be sitting inside!

Pleasant atmosphere, but worst tiramisu ever. Still partially frozen! Jazz group was not very good either. No reason to return.

Upon browsing Ashland streets on my motorcycle, I parked and walked around a bit. Not having dined regularly in town since I moved back to Medford(from Portland), I wanted to see what had changed. Little did I know, a best-kept secret awaited… THEBESTCALZONE I have ever dropped in my stomach. Menu and pricing not overwhelming. I had so much fun when I ate here Sunday, May 25th, I came back the same week on Friday the 30th.

Loved the back patio atmosphere! Romantic setting. The pasta was amazing. The man behind the bar, was polite and completed the Italian feel of the place!

The food and drinks were great as well as the atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and the service was spectacular. Bartender was a sweet heart and even drew us a map of where to go in ashland for drinks and/or dancing. I would love to come here again.

I met a friend earlier this evening for drinks and since I hadn’t tried Martino’s, I thought I’d give it a go. My friend works in the theater scene in town and recommended it. After a walk up the steps of the building I reached the entrance of the restaurant. It was softly lit, with jazzy music contributing to the ambience. I was immediately greeted and seated, followed by prompt service. I ordered a half bottle of the Moscato d’Asti and sipped while talking with my friend. The server was very cordial and didn’t pressure me into ordering anything. I enjoyed my wine and good company in complete relaxation. I did end up ordering some tiramisu to complement my wine. It was positively delicious. Next time I’ll have to try the macaroni and cheese that I saw on the menu. The server mentioned it being her favorite menu item.

As an actor, I love being around my kind and fangirling after watching amazing theatre. Naturally Martinos is where all the actors hang to destress. Who doesn’t want to share a tipple with King Lear, or take shots with the chorus of My Fair Lady?! I tried the Marionberry cocktail which was pretty good. Apparently, Marionberry is native to Oregon, so you know me, whilst in OR… Prices are about the same anywhere else in the area and the food is really good. In the week I was here we also came upon a wedding party post wedding. Not gonna lie, everytime I’m here and sit at one of the long tables, I have«La Vie Boheme» going in my head. So for all you rent heads, order your WINE&BEER& boogy wonderland

Great food excellent service. I had the blue cheese and prociutto pizza which was spectacular. The crust had a unique crunch to it and the cheese knocked me off my feet. I liked that the pizzas were of reasonable size and not gigantic. The service was friendly and efficient. The indoor décor was nice but a bit old school. My main complaint was that it was completely frigid inside. I understand that Ashland can get hot in the summer but the air conditioning was out of control. I was very uncomfortable the whole time. This is one of those places where you have to bring a jacket when it’s 90 out.

We came to Ashland on the tail end of the 4th of July weekend. From Main Street, we climbed up a flight of stairs to the 2nd floor. We did not have a reservation. Our hostess gave us a table inside. All waitresses and hostess have a very pretty simple look. Not sure what but interesting. Our bread arrived warm with butter on the side. I had spaghetti with sausage and a coke. My meal included a vegie soup and that was delicious. My spaghetti was al dente. My spaghetti sauce was very tomato-licious. As for the sausages, I ate both of them. This is the bar area of the restaurant. The inside is dark and cool. We had a nice view of the tv and the bartender. He was busy making drinks. There is only one lady’s room and one guy’s room. So don’t wait til you’re desperate to hit the restroom. Next time, we will ask for the back patio sitting area.

This is the place to be before or after your favorite shows in Ashland. Located conveniently right off the bricks next to the theatres, Martino’s has a terrific selection of tasty food and beverages. There’s seating out back on the patio, on the balcony overlooking the street in front, or inside. As a long-time Ashland icon, Martino’s holds a loving place in my heart and I look forward to many, many more happy times here spent with good friends, good food, good theatre conversation and don’t forget the wine.

The real claim to fame here is their close proximity to the 3 theaters of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. In fact, you can enter directly from the bricked Green Space between the theaters, right by the OSF company store where all the souvenirs and Elizabethan-themed gifts are located. It’s a combination restaurant called Macaroni’s(?) and Martino’s Lounge is the bar side. — and they have outdoor seating as well in appropriate weather. And when you’ve tired of the weather outside, waiting for showtime, this is the place to stop in for a drink and a quick nibble(or, a whole pasta meal.) The crusty Italian bread was great. The pasta dishes are respectible — nobody here is trying to win awards for originality — but there is enough al dente and excellent sauce to tell you whoever is in the kitchen knows their way around the garlic press. The real pleasure, however is the bar. Besides being sparkly and beautiful in that«Mad Men» kind of ‘50s retro way, the vivid wine selection will give you plenty of choices to dress up your fettucini — and the drinks are adequately strong. The chairs are just plain uncomfortable — which is fixable — but still… And it’s a little over-priced for what you get — I suspect that is a result of their location.

Ravioli and Pasta was undercooked, rushed service, obviously not fresh made ravioli. Sauce was the only redeming value of the meal. But then again, How hard is it to make a cream sauce or pesto cream sauce? They could do a lot better and I would not recomend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates fresh food.

Food ok. Ambience pretty good. Service good and bad. Our waitress ignored us for ten minutes, I had to ask for bread, and then she was apologetic and didn’t bring it. We eventually asked another passing waiter and he took care of us really well.

This is a «locals» joint and that’s just how we’d like it to stay. It’s really dimly lit inside which makes for a great atmosphere. The food is not the best(very hit or miss) but it ain’t too shabby when it hits; still, it’s a perfect spot to have a glass of wine. The décor definitely has a dated 70s lounge«Regal Beagle» feel going on. Kind of hilarious actually. I do love their macaroni and cheese– it’s to die for. I also love the fresh bread they put out– kind of a lost restaurant tradition these days but it’s a nice touch especially since the bread is pretty fabulous. My friend and I had their special cream of cauliflower soup with white truffle oil and it was seriously good stuff. I nearly licked the bowl it was so rockin’. Anyway, this wouldn’t be my first choice for dinner in Ashland, but if you are looking for a nice, dark bar scene, this is the place. You can get a decent pour at a fair price plus there’s a nice beer garden in summer.

Location, location, location… and Martino’s has it in spades. The lounge shares a brick pathway with Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Bowmer and the Elizabethan Theaters. So, it’s a perfect place to dissect a performance and watch actors come in and unwind after an evening show. Martino’s offers inside space and two different outdoor sections, and you can pick the venue to match your temperature desires and tolerance for cigarette smoke. Goodies from the full bar are dispensed quickly and efficiently, and the atmosphere is clean and friendly. One server, Amy, rates a star for herself. She remembers my drinks from the last time I was in town, and is able to single-handedly keep the entire floor well provided for. She’s friendly and accurate, too! Martino’s is the upstairs bar section of Macaroni Restaurant which Unilocal lists separately(see ). Having them as two entries doesn’t make too much sense, because the complete menu — both food and drink — is available on both floors. The food is very good, mostly upscale comfort food with the salmon pasta-like options that are required in upper-middle-class Ashland. You can get your choice of a very good Caesar salad, pasta with a sauce that they’ll happily make spicy upon request, and chicken, beast, and fish. The food is not flawless, though, and about one in five times it disappoints. This week’s disaster was eggplant Parmesan whose eggplant was raw, rubbery, and absolutely inedible. Too bad, too, since the breading and accompanying pasta and sauce were near perfect. Nevertheless, they are a fine place you want a quick or human-scale meal. We go to Martino’s for drinks and post-play conversation a lot. They are unsurpassed in providing a great space for reliving the highs and lows of a production while cautiously keeping your voice down in case tonight’s actor you’re savaging to your friends happens to be standing behind your chair.
