Nick’s Pizza & Grill

Great food. Pizza is always good. Everyone is always very friendly. Prices are reasonable. I think in the winter they could have the heat turned on higher.
Aside from that these guys get a thumbs up.

The food at Nick’s Pizza & Grill is GREAT. My issue is I have called multiple times WELL before close and I am told they are no longer delivering. I assume I have spoken to the owner the few times I can actually get food, but his staff stops serving hours before close. I have heard 2 hours before close, and recently 45 minutes before close they do not deliver.

Love Nick’s! They are really nice here (will bring the food over to you if they can), portions are very generous and they have great specials! I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve tried many different items over the years.

Nick’s is our go-​to pizza place in Ashland. The pizza is tasty and consistent, and their chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks are equally delicious. The staff is friendly. What more could you want from a local pizza place?

Good local pizza. Only complaints I have is the service. The owner is super nice, but he has hired some spacey employees that misplace orders and sometimes don’t put in the right order. We’ve been there a bunch of times and we’ve experienced this issue almost every time. Unfortunately, that costs them 2 stars.

Please do not ever eat here. I came to Westborough, MA for a business trip with two co-​workers. We decided to order from Nick’s Pizza & Grille.
My co-​worker, Sandra, called to confirm that they would deliver to our hotel. She spoke with the manager, John, who failed to confirm the address of our hotel.
We called a second time to actually place the order. Again, the employee never confirmed our address.
About twenty minutes later we receive a call from Nick’s Pizza & Grille letting us know that they thought we were at a different hotel, and wouldn’t be able to deliver to us.
I am a reasonable person, I understand people make mistakes and I can forgive this kind of error. But my story does not end here.
Five minutes later (while we were discussing new food options) we received a second call from John, the manager. He just wanted to let us know that he would still be charging our credit card. He said it was our responsibility, as out of staters, to know that there are multiple hotels in the area.
John, the manager, offered no apology, he blamed the new hire who took the order. John told me he would be glad to «duke it out» with my credit card company.
When I asked John when the owner would be in, he told me he was the owner, an obvious lie. Eventually he gave me the owners information and I will be following up.
But please, weary business travelers missing your home and family, this is no place for you.

When we moved to town a year and a half ago this was our go-​to place for evenings when we didn’t feel like cooking. Awesome crispy crusts on the pizza, tried some of the meals and thought they were pretty dcent also.
Since then I feel like the quality and service has gone way down hill. The last couple times we ordered, the pizza has been soggy, the service has been indifferent. I got steak tips a little while ago and thought the portion was tiny for the price and the taste wasn’t very good. Disappointing since they’re very convenient but at least maybe it’s motivation to try some new places.

This is the second time ordering from Nicks, what a poor choice! I am a fair person but this is just not acceptable, delivery took over an hour, the food was horrible. My wife ordered 3 items, a pizza, a sample appetizer, and a pastrami sandwich, nothing was to our liking. I would not recommend to anyone, $ 35 of our hard earned money in a tough economy and I still gave the delivery person $ 5 for a tip because that’s the kind of person I am. I read other reviews and they are far from accurate, save your money and go out to a sit down establishment that takes pride in keeping customers. I can’t give this any stars for a rating because it would just be absolute bull##it! I would rather have given this money away to someone who actually needs it because Nicks surely doesn’t!

If I could sum it up in one word… gross. Haven’t been here in awhile, so I decided to give them another shot. Ordering a large pizza with mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni, I was disgusted when I got home and took a bite out of it. The dough, cheese, everything was undercooked. The dough was still spongy, so it required me to through it into the toast oven for a few minutes to get it a little crispier. For pizza, there’s so many other choices in the area… if you see Nicks, keep driving. It’s not worth the visit.

The small calzones are amazing. The buffalo chicken one is worth driving an hour or so for. Decent pizza but if you want a calzone, it has to be small the larges don’t cook the same, this is your place.

Friday night, I wanted to try something different. I looked up the menu online. The menu is a blend of greek and american tastes. I ordered a large ‘Pizza Mykonos’ for pick-​up. It was ready by the time I arrived (15 minutes) there.
The pizza was really good. The dough was fresh and I could taste all of the high quality ingredients on the pizza (pizza mykonos has Ricotta, feta, mozzarella, provolone, romano, sprinkle of garlic, and olive oil)
I will very likely go back for more and try other options in the menu.

I have lived in Ashland for almost three years now and today was the first time I had nicks. I should have tried it sooner I loved it! My only complaint was the lettuce in the salad could have been washed a little better but it’s lettuce. It comes from the ground! My son loved the mozzarella sticks and I loved the fries! Can’t wait to try the pizza!

Worst pizza place ever would be an understatement. The dough was so hard and old. The cheese was low quality and probably all cheddar. The girl at the counter was about 16 years old. The service is slow and unorganized. I know pizza and I know when they go cheap on ingredients. This place takes it to another level. The chicken wings were the smallest I’ve ever seen. The french fries were rock hard. I could go on and on but trust me you will feel ripped off if you go there. It’s just plain highway robbery. It’s amazing that they are still in business.

Their pizza is average in general (so probably a bit above average for the area). Truthfully, I will never return here due to their extremely sub-​par service.
The last time I went, I called in my order and was told 50 minutes. I arrived 50 minutes later, told them my name and paid and was asked to wait while they finished it up, no big deal. It was a weekend night and they were obviously very busy.
TWENTY FIVE minutes later I was still sitting in a booth while my pizza was in the back getting cold because they forgot about me and a few other customers. Other people ordered and got their food before the teenager behind the counter asked for our names again so they could check the order. No apologies or anything.
This place is walking distance from my apartment but I will never return. There are enough other options in the area where I’m not treated like shit.

Over our 18 years as Ashland residents, we have enjoyed Nick’s Pizza on Main St. Ashland. The pizza is the best we’ve had not only in the local area but also in our travels! Not only is the pizza delicious, we have found John and his staff to be welcoming, courteous and professional. A friendly, respectful delivery experience is not always a «given». It is with Nick’s.
Though we have recently moved out of the area, we continue to seek opportunities to pick up our favorite pizza from Nick’s when we are anywhere nearby. Even when we freeze the leftovers, the pizza tastes as good as it did when it was freshly baked. It is well worth the trip!

I absolutely love Nicks! It’s probably one of the most consistent restaurants/​take out we have in the town. Their french fries are always so crisp and tasty, the salads are delicious and fresh, and subs whether hot or cold always leave you full and satisfied.
I have been ordering from here for years and have only ever had a mix up with my order maybe once or twice, and they were friendly and understanding fixing it right away. This is a place I will continue to order from as they are convenient, and yummy. Service is also very speedy!

This place is rocks! I order from here whenever I’m at my girlfriends. Some of the best pizza I’ve had in awhile. They have a real fresh tasting sauce. My friends and I also have enjoyed large sausage pizza and huge chicken/​broccoli calzone. I’ve gone in a few times as well and had a good Italian sub. Place is clean and bright. Owner is a real nice guy. He actually told be where they get the sausages from. a fresh italian meat maker from a neighborhood butcher. Deliveries have always been hot for us. I recommend a Sausage pizza or a Hawaiian, both are can’t miss.

Black Jack Burger… yumm!

The pizza is great here, but please consider a burger next time! We happened to be in Ashland last week and stopped by to try out the burgers. I had the Black Jack and was blown away! It was so tasty: like a fresh and juicy burger from my backyard grill. I eat a burger only about every six months, so I need to make it a good one. This one had some housemade hot chipotle sauce on it which was out of this world. I also had a bite of the Arno burger (garlic, spinach, etc.) and the Pizzaiola burger (red sauce and provolone). They tasted great, too, but I am especially partial to the spicy Black Jack burger. Their salads are fresh and tasty, too. Not your typical pizza joint boring salad.

This place is great! The food is always really good and the staff very friendly. The new burgers they are selling are out-​of-​this world (really cool topping combinations)!!
Try the italian subs too — they are awesome! And… of course, you can never go wrong with the pizza.
Local pizza shops have even been referring customers to Nick’s for their calzones! Nothing says good food like that!
