I’m conflicted about this place. I’m thrilled that there’s a drive thru Starbucks in this area, the drinks are always spot on, the staff are friendly; but they’re SO. INCREDIBLY. SLOW.
So slow, in fact, that if there are more than two cars in line, I won’t stop. I know they also have customers inside, some drinks/foods take different amounts of time, etc etc. I know– I was a barista for two years. But let me tell you: There Is No Reason a coffee shop should be this slow, consistently. It’s not just at a certain time of day. It’s not a particular worker. It doesn’t depend on how many customers are inside.
They’re consistently slow across all situations, and it defies logic.

I have observed that they are unorganized. After waiting for too long for my daughter’s drink order, and seeing far too many drinks prepared for those who were behind us, we inquired where her drink is. No one found the order, and we the response of «I’ll make that for you.» Ok, the Manager was sitting right there at the counter, not managing the store, team, or flow of orders– but was working on his laptop.
Time get to get back to the basics guys.

The staff is always knowledgable and eager to serve. I like this Starbucks because the seating is very spaced out and comfortable. On top of that, they have tons of flavors for sale that you cannot buy at most Starbucks that I have been to.

Great atmosphere, friendly customers, strong coffee, and good wifi.
The only thing that I honestly see this place lacking is good seating. If you come in around dusk or dawn then you are shit out of luck if you wanted to sit on your laptop while you slurp down a frappuchino. I wish they would’ve took this into consideration when constructing the building. The parking has lots of unneeded space that would’ve been more suited for seating /dining area.
Even though seating sucks, this store still rocks. It’s in a great location and a Starbucks is essential to a «downtown» city. So I do now believe we have a real city.

This Coffee Shop is extremely slow, as the focus is on drive-thru traffic and not walkins, which even the drive-thru service is slow. A crew of 4 in a small shop like this should be much more efficient and timely. You can tell you are in Ashland, KY vs’s a shop in a large busy metropolitan area. I must note, the service is far below my Starbucks expectations, however the staff are extremely polite and very friendly.

Driving up 23 from a very rural part of Kentucky, this Starbucks pops up like a mirage! I had spent a week without a latte-fix and was jonesing hard… and then, suddenly, there Starbucks was when I needed it most. The drinks were solid, the store itself was clean and modern, and I left making a mental note of its location, so I could return the next time I pass through the area.
