What a great little find! I would have given 4.5 stars for the food and ambience but the man at the counter was so nice to everyone that I decided on 5 stars. I had the 3 taco combo and my husband had the chicken chimichanga combo. We both really liked our meals but the plastic ware could have been a higher quality to make the food easier to eat.

Right on the road, in a gas station no less, what looks like a hole in the wall on the outside is anything but inside. The whole place is decorated with luchadore and taco truck motif with a rock music soundtrack. The menu is tacos, burritos, and almost anything else wrapped in a tortilla. All of the meat and veggies taste fresh. Personal recommendations for menu items are the flagship 6−1−9 burrito, the chicken quesadilla, and the three tacos meal. Really, the only thing I wouldn’t recommend menuwise is the adobaba(spicy pork). For me, the spice wasn’t really there, and there was this odd, almost bubblegum taste to the meat. Even still, I’d you’re driving by and hungry(or hungry and within ten miles of the place), stop in.

When Suplex first opened the food was always fresh and tasty. Sadly, I can no longer say the same. The burritos are always dry, from the tortilla to the meats. It’s as if they have the 619 burritos pre-made and microwave them for customers on order. Still a better alternative to Taco Bell I suppose, but for the price I would recommend Tres Hermanos just down the road.

Hard NOT to be the best taco place(or restaurant for that matter) when there’s nothing else around! While the taco joint shares a location with a gas station the tacos were great and the owners seem to care a lot about their food. Will definitely be back!

Yes, it’s tacos in a gas station. And the food is OUTSTANDING! My favorite is the three tacos and I love the spicy pork, though I’ve never had a bad experience there no matter what I’ve eaten. Oh! And it’s AFFORDABLE! You just can’t go wrong!

Pros– Really helpful and nice employees. The food is great. Definitely not like any other restaurant serving mexican style food. They have their own thing going on there, and it taste great in your mouth. The inside is super clean, and sparkly with luchador masks adorning the walls. They are going to start doing a food truck. I can’t wait. I’ve traveled all the way from huntington to get me some of their food. It’s worth the trip every time. Cons– Gas Station it is in looks shady, and ran down from the outside.

I’m a local who’s lived in Ashland most of my life. There’s very few places that serve authentic Mexican food. It has a luchador(wrestling) theme. The food is where it’s at. I suggest the 3 taco combo(choice of steak, pork, spicy pork, and chicken) you can mix it up. The sweet tea is very unique and very sweet(if you like it like that, I do!).And the 619 burrito is a favorite by many. If your passing thru, look for the shell station at the end of town, SUPLEX is located IN the gas station. A hidden gem for sure, you won’t be disappointed.

Walking into a gas station you wouldn’t expect to find a really great taco place! This place is fast, friendly and oh so tasty! It was hard narrowing down the choices because the description of everything sounded so good. My husband and I finally decided on 3 tacos, chicken, spicy pork and carne asada as well as the carne asada fries. The tacos all come with onions, cilantro and guacamole. The meat was all seasoned really well, my favorite was definitely the pork! The carne asada fries were decent. I wish we had added queso because the shredded cheese didn’t melt on the fries. The carne asada and guacamole on the fries were really good, it just needed a little something extra.

Great tacos and burritos. Don’t let the gas station fool you. Best around, authentic.

Just stopped into this unassuming spot tucked into the corner of a gas station. So good! You have to try the 619 burrito. I’ll be back!

I wanted to love everything. Great branding and better than decent customer service, but our food fell flat. My steak did not taste fresh or recently cooked and it was a bit overcooked. Hubby’s beef taco salad had roast beef which was unexpected. Fish taco and cheese quesadilla and queso were good to go. The guys working were awesome!!!

Who would of thought that there would be an outstanding taco joint in Ashland Kentucky? Let alone in a gas station!?! Suplex Taco was not a disappointment at all. Tofu salad was delicious and I can’t remember the last time I had tofu. The pork adobada was amazing. Their salsa was delicious as well. Saved in the GPS for my next visit to Ashland. Keep up the great work!

Extremely delicious, and you have to love the décor. Photographs of masked wrestlers adorn the walls and there’s a rack of wrestling masks. Much to my dismay, none of the staff were in masks, although I was assured that they did so on Halloween. The prices were quite reasonable and the food was authentic, even to the point of having more refried beans than meat in my burrito. Small minuses, it’s part of a gas station, and the upkeep was slightly sloppy on the booths(I had to clean a refried bean off of the bench), but overall, quite excellent.

We travel from Huntington about once every two weeks to go to Suplex. It’s my favorite local burrito place. The staff take great pride in their restaurant and the food. They are always pleasant and go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible experience. The food is great, too. I think I have officially tried everything. I have yet to have a poor experience; every time I go the food is homogenous in quality to the time before. Currently my favorite is the tag-team burrito, which is relatively low in calories and freaking delicious. I really hope they will branch out soon. I foresee myself coming back to the area in 30 years and them still being here. They will most definitely be a staple.

I’ve actually been wanting to come here since January, when we first drove over here to look for housing. Unfortunately, my comrades(heh) didn’t really care for food as much as I did, so we ended up going somewhere super close by to our hotel, and I vowed to make it out here after we actually moved here. The day(well, yesterday evening) has finally come! We were all too tired to make actual food, so we decided to find someplace with a healthy/healthier option. I brought up this place again, and after they looked at the menu, they agreed with minimal/no coercion. :D We accidentally drove past it at first because I forgot that I’d read that it’s connected to a gas station.(Look for the Shell!) They have a «Shape-Up» menu with entrees that are low in calories and high in protein(yeahhh protein!). Service was friendly and quick, and there’s also a drive-thru if you’re in a hurry, or just want to pick up something and go. The food is awesome and you really can’t beat the prices! I wanted to try everything just because it was actually affordable, but I managed to show some restraint. I got the Knockout burrito(grilled chicken, salsa fresca + guacamole) and the Tag-Team Burrito(tofu, chicken, whole wheat tortilla, salsa fresca + guacamole). My friends ordered the Knockout burrito, the Contender Chimichanga, and a couple plain quesadillas. I also can’t believe I didn’t notice the fries section.(THEYHAVEPOLLOASADA! I like chicken more than beef, so this is a game-changer.) We will definitely be back! :D

Such great food! I would highly recommend the 619 burrito. The food was excellent. Customer service was excellent. LOVE! The lucha Libre theme with the masks and photos. Forget about it being connected to a gas station. Well worth coming in! ¡Viva La Lucha!

I came across this place because of Unilocal and it was a great asset to Ashland. I had the fish tacos and added queso and drink for $ 1.99. The tacos were a little spicy and fish portion wasn’t huge, but they tasted fresh and great. Anything with cilantro is going to be great in my book. The prices were very reasonable and the employee taking the order was very pleasant and friendly.
