It has been thirty plus years since I have had full service gas! When we drove up to this 76 gas station we read the sign saying Oregon state law requires full service gas where the service attendant pumps your gas for you. I think we were dreaming or something but it was a reality that I love!!! No I still won’t move up here. I love Sacramento’s weather too much. Just thought I state this law fact. We are always learning something new in life, right? Otherwise life would be so boring & uneventful. In some ways now that I think about that; that’s good too! LOL.

This is just your typical gas station. I don’t go through Oregon often and we had been driving from California back to Washington so our windshield was full of bug splatter. I knew that the gas is pumped by staff, but I wasn’t sure if they were supposed to clean the windshield or if that was self-service so I asked. The staff at other locations has always washed without me asking, so I wasn’t sure. The guy told me I could do it, but since he wasn’t doing anything else, he would. He was the best window washer I had ever seen. No streaks. Perfectly clean. I felt bad I didn’t have a few bucks to leave him a tip!

The AMPM is well stocked, and the staff is friendly. Would’ve been 4 stars if not for the bathroom. Go there for gas and to stock up on food, but go somewhere else to use the bathroom. Ugh! You can tell they only wipe off the top of the seats. I have a toddler, so when she goes, I have to get down to her level to help, so I see everything in the bowl whether I want to or not. Eww. The urinal was disgusting, and under it was a mass of mildew the size of my head. I didn’t want to breathe in there. The sink was ok, but the contact points between the faucet and sink and knobs and sink were also really mildewy. Paint on the walls peeling, grout on the floor tile was black. Makes my skin crawl.

Dog biscuits for my dogs! I’m not a fan of the Oregon you-can’t-pump-your-own-gas thing, but the employees here were pretty nice, if a little misguided.(No, Mr. Attendant, my dogs can see you just fine through the tinted windows. They are barking because either they don’t know you or don’t like the way you smell. Not because they can’t see through the tinted windows.) Service seemed to be more prompt at this location than the Shell across the street, where I saw cars waiting with no attendant.
