I was invited to a dinner at Asie so I can’t speak to the prices or automatic gratuity policy, which seems to be a popular issue. I will say, locals seem to be treated exceptionally well here, and the owner was bouncing around from table to table greeting friends. There was so much food on the table that I cannot remember everything. I especially enjoyed the two rolls I had here, one was a California roll and the other a very colorful and pretty roll. Loved both of them and would come back for the sushi. The prices were really reasonable, and they are discounted at happy hour. I also really enjoyed the Mongolian beef on the table, and it had just the right amount of spice. They also served us whole fish and a bunch of other things. The meal finished off with lychee and Mochi in flavors of vanilla, strawberry, green tea and chocolate. The mochi was stellar as well, and I enjoyed and loved trying lychee as well. I also ordered a mojito here that was humungous, pretty, and very alcohol heavy. The happy hour prices for drinks were great too. While I cannot afford to come back here at full price, I will defintley be back for happy hour.

If you want a $ 45 dried duck dish, overpriced/mediocre dumplings, and mandatory tip for terrible customer service, this will be your kind of place.

Totally wasn’t excepting to eat sushi during my visit to Aspen! The service here is fantastic and quick. They know how to work for large groups. We ordered the Colorado Roll(my favorite that I will probably crave all the time!) and some salmon nigiri. The salmon was very fresh. This place is a bit pricey but its a sushi place so you should expect that unless you’re at a conveyer belt type place. Again, good sushi and good service– i’d most likely try to visit again when i come back to Aspen.

Beautiful food, especially those baby back ribs and the dumplings! We had a great time dining here and while we spent a lot of money we also thought the food and service was great, they accommodated an off-menu request, and we bought wine with our dinner too, which adds up. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Aspen, and we definitely make it a point to come back year after year when we visit during ski season. Keep doing what you’re doing!

Nice little Asian food restaurant. Nice décor inside and they have good patio seating outside in the summer as well. The food is OK and authentic but nothing to write home about. Had the crab tempura amongst other things and it was quite good. The staff is always friendly and the service has been OK every time we went.

Check your bill, these guys automatically add a 25% gratuity for unsuspecting customers. Ate with my dad and we were appalled at the bill and their reasoning. Would not go back.

We had a great dinner at Asie. Everything was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the octopus. The only thing that was just average was the duck spring roll. I would never order fried rice, but someone ordered the kale fried rice and it was delicious. Heartily recommend.

Great service, excellent sushi(particularly the new style w jalapeño), love the kale fried rice. Love this place! NOT a Chinese place — pan Asian and delicious.

Asie is great! I have been a customer there for 8 years and the food is delicious. When my son comes to town, that is where he likes to go first. Thanks Frank for being so attentive.

We are from Denver and there are a few great sushi places to eat in town. We saw their happy hour menu and waited the next day to come here for dinner. I guess u get what u pay for. We ordered a number of rolls and sashimi off the happy hour menu, along with some dim sum. The rolls were small, like very small and cold. We are Asian so it’s not like we were expecting giant American size rolls. The rolls were not pretty and the sashimi looked butchered up. The dim sum were dry and needed salt. They doused it with Asian vinegar and that’s about it. We’ll never go here again.

Super nice atmosphere! Very clean and nice presentation. The service was fantastic! Jackie is the man! I had the Aspen X Roll and it was crunchy on the inside and soft on the outside which is how tempura rolls should be! The roll doesn’t fall apart when you pick it up that way. My lovely lady had the chicken Pad Thai. It was a little sweet for my liking but the citrus, basil, and green hot pepper made up for it! IFYOUAREON A BUDGETCEDURINGHAPPYHOUR3 – 6 for basically half price sushi on select rolls and $ 5 drinks!

After looking at the expensive, off-season menu, nothing really excited us and the Chinese chef noticed so he piqued our interest in offering a whole, fresh, 4−5lb red snapper, cooked two-ways, for $ 80. We gladly accepted! Not only did it feed the four of us, we got to first have sweet and sour fried fillets and then the very contrast-y Chinese style steamed fish. Boy were we content! While waiting for the fish, we ordered some appetizers to share: Edamame(did I mention how expensive it is here in Aspen? duh! For the same amount, you get at least twice as much edamame in any Denver restaurants) and Chicken Lettuce Wrap(it says serves 4, guess what? It literally has only 4 pieces of lettuce and not enough chicken for seconds and it was $ 12). We were right in not ordering entrees from the menu as the flavors of the starters proved to be too Americanized. Asie is a good looking restaurant and we enjoyed talking to the owners who happened to be from Shanghai! You can tell they care about the customers. It’s more like 3.5 stars for me.

Funny thing this place is empty while on both sides the restaurants have a line. Well, we went in — the staff was overwhelmingly friendly. The food was great as far as Chinese goes — seemed cooked to order, fish was fresh, soups yummy. One in our party is THAT guy who can not order off the menu — he wants to feel special — well guess what — they did exactly what he wanted. I would definitely recommend this place. No lines, no pretension, good food!

I went to this place with friends after the start of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. We were kind of concerned because it was not crowded. Of course the light crowd made for excellent service. And the rolls that we ordered were not bad either. My California roll was just fine. And my tempura calamari roll was also tasty… if a bit loosely rolled. I guess people were just in the mood to eat the Mexican food next door after the race, but I’m glad we came here.

So what do a Texan and Floridian eat when they come to Colorado? Sushi, of course!(Hopefully you’ve seen my currywurst review in Berlin so this makes sense). Aaanyway, we were quite hungry after a 14hr drive from Dallas to Aspen so we decided to stop in for some«healthy» grub before our week-long hiking expedition(hey, sushi is kinda healthy, right?). Luckily, we apparently dropped by during their happy and though, due to pending physical exertion, we didn’t buy any drinks, we did take advantage of their sweet sushi deals. I got a roll and dumplings while hubby got one of the XXL rolls. Service? Wonderful. We were promptly seated and attended to. Food? Delish. Definitely tamed the hunger and impressed a Dallas girl with sushi ;) If you don’t know, that’s quite a feat in the sushi world. Location? Awesome. In the middle of the hustle/bustle of downtown Aspen and great patio seats(also an impressive factor for someone from Dallas). Only took 1 star off because I think the price could be a *little* better considering this isn’t a 5 star spot, but still impressed overall. Hit ‘em up!

WOW!!! Where to start… First, I must say the service was exceptional throughout the whole meal experience. Everyone was very warm, respectful and friendly. We had a party of 7 and had no trouble getting a large comfortable hightop table. I think we were extra lucky — as I know this place is always very busy in the summer months due to patio seating being available. So, I started off with a some Jasmine Tea and an order of Crab Rangoon’s. The rangoon’s are hand’s down the best I have had at any restaurant to date, could have easily place an order for more of these! The tea was very traditional and just as I had expected it to be. Next, I decided to order the Shrimp Salad. Presentation was absolutely off the charts– I felt like I was eating an art piece. The house dressing used was quite sweet and blended well with black peppercorn, sweet tomatoes, avocado and of course the freshly prepared shrimp! All of my friends were enjoying sushi as well, presentation again very good and FRESH! For desert we were recommended the fried ice cream rolls. I really wish I had some of these right now! The green tea ice cream with the combination of whatever magic is used on these is simply out of this world! I will definitely be back!
