This location had some definite customer service issues in the past… then Stacie came in and whew, What a breath of fresh air! I have moved away from the valley and keep in touch with them for my orders and they are so wonderful and helpful now! Thank you Stacie and team for being so great!

I see there are no recent reviews so I am writing one. Stopped in there today. Was instantly greeted by a smiling face. Asked if I was looking for anything in particular(I was not) but left to browse on my own. I love the product anyway. I did not purchase or even try anything on but a second sales associate smiled kindly and thanked me for coming in. Nice, right?

I agree completely with these two reviewers. The store is well stocked and merchandised(but of course they have specific guidelines for that), but very poorly staffed. Unfriendly, superior attitudes seem the criteria for hiring employees. Very unusual here in Aspen and not the norm. I used to shop jcrew elsewhere, but now prefer to shop online or only if I am really desperate do I venture into this unwelcoming store. Are you listening jcrew???

Today I was in need of some retail therapy, so off to jcrew I went. I was barely welcomed when I walked in and was glared at by 2 employees who remained behind their register almost my entire 25 minutes in the store. I politely asked if they had anymore of the pixie pants in black. «No.» She responded curtly. She never asked if I would like to order them and didn’t offer me any options. I asked if they had a small in a cashmere sweater I had been eyeing. «Ugh let me see» and she abruptly pulled the pile of cashmere from the shelving and slammed it onto a center table. «Nope.» I told her I had seen another pile downstairs of the same sweater and perhaps they’d have a small there. «I don’t know, you’re welcome to check.» I was astounded. It felt as though I was being disciplined for some unjustified reason. «I received an email today that said 30% off sale items in store and online… will you honor the promotion here? You don’t have any signs informing customers,» I asked. «Nope. Not here. Not at THIS store… it’s collection», she responded with a permanent frown pasted to her sour face. I told her I had read the fine print and the only stores that were excluded were factory stores. «I guess I’ll get our manager and beg her for you.» The manager stomped up to the front register, and with a look of fury, scanned the promo code and walked away without even a glance in my direction. By this time, I felt abused. I quickly made my purchase and left the store with a smile and a thank you… I of course didn’t receive a response in return. Unfortunately for them, I work at a hotel in town and when guests ask where the best place to go is for some clothing, I always without fail mention jcrew. I can safely say I won’t be making that recommendation ever again. After all, why would I want to send my innocent guests into a lions den of uptight insecure women? Bottom line: if you’re in a pinch, it’s the only appropriate time to shop at the jcrew in aspen. That is until they re-staff 90% of their employees.

Gah. I usually love J Crew. As for selection, this J Crew had a ton of cute stuff. However, the employee’s salty attitudes were really off-putting. When I walked in, the woman at the front desk barely made eye contact. She kind of grunted at me. Another customer walked in a few minutes after I did and the employee was ALLLLLL about getting her to try on clothes, helping her with sizes, etc. I didn’t walk in looking like a hobo. I don’t understand why I was ignored. Oh well. I can take my bizness elsewhere.
