You may have heard of Peter Lik even if his name doesn’t ring a bell. He is the photographer that sold the most expensive photograph in the world, at $ 1,000,000. Crazy stuff.
He happens to have a gallery in Aspen and my husband is a photographer, so we had to check it out. The gallery managers were SUPER friendly and walked us through the exhibit. They talked about the printing/photographing techniques used in each specific photo, which was really interesting.
The photographs were gigantic and gorgeous — they almost had a surreal quality to them.
We could never afford one in a million years, but it’s nice to look.
