My wife and I stopped by the Aspen store to learn about Marmot’s warranty/​guarantee. Neal Martin offered to help us by sending something in if we had needed to. He also made jacket recommendations for my wife that would be similar to my Randonnee shell since it’s only a men’s style. He actually took the time to pull the sizes and styles from the racks and explain the differences. He is well informed, outgoing and I liked how he initiated the conversations which made us feel welcome.
I’ve often experienced staff at other «outdoor gear» stores that are elitist and act as if they’re better than you. Not the case at Marmot in Aspen as demonstrated by Neal. All will feel welcome and respected. I’ve worked in retail for many years and recently as a manager. I would be lucky to have someone like him on my team. He managed the floor and helped multiple guests while fielding my questions. This was the best customer service we’ve had in the Aspen/​Snowmass area!

Some packs and winter stuff is 25% off in the summer time. Great outdoor gear overall. I ended up buying a day pack that wasn’t on sale, the newer ones use a lighter fabric and had a more comfortable and airy back. Friendly and helpful staff as well.
