Worst broker I’ve dealt with. She couldn’t be bothered to come show us a place so she sent an assistant, who showed us the wrong apartment.(yes, I’m sure that I asked for a 2 bedroom…) once we got the matter of the apartment sorted out, she brought us to the 4 floor apartment(which was advertised as third floor — #D3) which was locked. Amenities on the ad listed a gym, but there was none. We did finally see the place but before we left, we were told that Anna charges $ 100 just to apply for an apartment… Save yourself the aggravation and use a different broker. There are plenty of great brokers in Astoria who will jump through hoops for you and cost you a lot less money. EDITEDTOADD: Anna apparently DOES have the time to call up my fiancé and bitch him out for my less than stellar review. Unbelievable.

My roommate and I worked with Anna at A-Class Realty last week while finding an apartment in Astoria. We are recent college graduates and we’re frustrated by the limited options in Manhattan, given our modest budget. We contacted Anna on very short notice asking her if she had anything we could see THATDAY. She did, and less than a day later, we had signed the paperwork on the perfect apartment – freshly renovated, well located, and totally in our price range. Anna is super easy to work with: she made herself available to us via phone immediately, and was willing to pull long hours at the office to get us moving on securing the apartment, as soon as we told her we were interested. A-Class charges a modest 10% fee(that’s 10% of a year’s rent), which is lower than many other agencies you’ll find in New York. The one major downside is that that fee must be paid in CASH. When asked why, Anna could only say that it was a policy of the company. It’s a total headache for the client, and I really hope they consider changing the policy – because not only is it unsafe and nerve wracking to walk the streets or ride the subway with thousands of dollars in cash in your pocket, it makes the client feel like they’re doing something shady(like assist the firm in evading taxes) and that is, quite frankly, a terrible position to put a client in. But overall we had a great time with Anna, and A-Class. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to live in the amazing Astoria.

My girlfriend and I are about to move in to our new apartment in Astoria! Thanks to Nikki at A-Class we found exactly what we were looking for. Nikki was the only Realtor out of many that truly listened to what we needed. With each apt she showed us, it became clear to us, that she was paying attention to what we asked of her. Nikki was reliable, professional, informative and always on time. I definitely recommend Nikki and Tony, the Broker, who was also very polite and attentive to our concerns. As with any business transaction, there is always a possibility for error and unfortunately there was a miscommunication which, inconvenienced us a bit but, nothing that would stop us from using A-Class again. They quickly apologized and fixed the mistake. Being inconvenienced is the only reason I’m giving a 4 star rating instead of the perfect 5!

The whole staff was helpful, professional and reliable. Our broker was Sahar, she was friendly and available for all of our questions and concerns and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful regarding the area. Because of them we found a nice one bedroom within our price range. I definitely would suggest her to friends interested in the area.

This realty company is as unprofessional as anyone I’ve ever dealt with. Myself and my girlfriend were looking for an apartment in Astoria. We made an appointment with Anne and spent an hour on the subway, my girlfriend was on crutches the whole way over there and we get to the apartment wait for 30 mins and she never shows up. Never called, never texted or anything. Finally on our way home we get a text from her saying she’s been sick all day and has been in bed. Apparently that means, in 2014, that phones stop working all together. She gave a pathetic meaningless apology. We called her and texted her several more times all of which went unanswered. It wasn’t until I wrote an angry text stating correctly in my view how unhappy we were with that she finally called and stated again«I was sick and than I was out of town and didn’t get your messages.» Apparently she didn’t realize that there are iPhones now where you can see when people get text messages now. Stay away from this group everyone instead of AClass Realty they should be called«no class» because they have none. No professionalism no respect or any kind for our time. Go to other groups, you’ll have much more pleasant time. Finding a home is one of the most important things you’ll ever experience. Make sure it’s someone who cares about people not just money.
