Abi Sushi

I have ordered different things from this place and so far have no issues to report. I got a little shocked when I read some of the reviews here. It’s hard to believe we are talking about the same place. Maybe something changed in the past year or so :-)
Food is always fresh and yummy. I also like that they don’t take a long time to deliver the food and it always come in a good portion.
My favorite options: salmon taquito, salmon sashimi, the spicy salmon pizza, and some special rolls as well.

I order Abi take out 1 – 2 times a week. I’ve never had a bad experience. I eat less raw and more shrimp crab veggie salmon so maybe for those RAW lovers This place could be hit or miss on freshness. BUT they deliver so fast it’s almost crazy. THEY ALSO are awesome about my picky orders I am always asking for extras or special cuts and they do EVERYTHING I ask EVERY TIME with no extra charge. I’ve seen the inside its nothing special but their delivery service is on point. For those of us who need their sushi dinner fix every week, ABI is reliable, delicious, and over all exceptional. As for suggestions I LOVE SPICY CRUNCHY SHRIMP ROLL. They also have a vegetable dumpling soup with WHAT USED TO BE shiitake mushrooms that is/​was really good. EXCEPT they now only use ordinary mushrooms and it’s still good but def could be better. ABI IF YOU’RE READING BRING BACK SHIITAKE SHROOMS.

Literally the worst ramen I’ve ever had! I got the miso ramen which is usually so rich in flavor … It had no seasoning and just tasted like brown water. The chicken in it was somehow dry even though it was in a soup. And the egg in it was the worst thing I’ve ever eaten, tasted like poison rubber. Haven’t had to spit food out like that in a long time!

I have a usual order of crispy duck spring rolls and edamame. Totally delish. One of the things I like best is that it’s pretty consistent, the spring rolls are crispy and browned nicely. The edamame is steamed but never mushy. Delivery is quick and the guys that come to my apartment are always courteous. I’m a fan!

«YOU DO Unilocal REVIEWS FOR TAKEOUT?» said my friend in shock over the summer and probably slight appallment as I tried to slyly snap a photo of my sushi rolls in his apartment. EVERYTHING gets reviewed eventually! These guys were okay. I feel like they always have a 30% off discount sign on their window. Which is neat. Not sure if that only applies for ordering in and taking it to go (which we did) or what. But I had three rolls, they were fairly fresh and of a substantial enough size that I could barely finish it all. Spicy tuna, california, and something else that escapes me but I think it was the spicy crunchy salmon roll. He had ordered some kind of fancy bento box with teriyaki and rice and a side salad. It’s a solid option in the area. Not gourmet but definitely delicious and cheap. Most regular rolls are under $ 6 – 7 and throwing in the discount probably prices them around $ 3 – 4 each. Lots of interesting sushi combos, teriyaki and hibachi entrees, a variety of soup and udon noodles. If I lived near here I would probably order from here on a regular basis.

They are awesome. Ordered the pork gyoza and chicken teriyaki. Food was delicious and fresh. Great customer service. I missed my delivery but they arranged to deliver it again at a later time with no extra charge.

I had to write this review even though I hate leaving bad ones… My boyfriend and I went to Mexico for a week and didn’t get sick. Came back the next day I was craving sushi and ordered from here since I live nearby. We got food poisoning and were so sick it was awful– and the next day they randomly delivered more of the same thing we ordered for free. Why would I ever eat the same thing the next day when I got food poisoning from it, why?! I would not trust the food here.

Good inexpensive sushi place with great lunch specials — they aren’t the best but have never been disappointed with their food.

I ordered from this place sometimes when TJ asian bistro is quite busy or is closing from 3 – 5 pm. few times i got decent food and fast delivery but don’t expect excellent quality. ordered combo rolls last wednesday and got sick after an hour.

Ordered Spicy Tuna Roll, made fresh and super nice chef, Charlie! Will go there again.

After an eight-​hour travel day, I was tired. I decided to order food via GrubHub (excellent app), and found this place. Japanese food sounded good to me, and who can resist free delivery with only a $ 10 minimum? I cross referenced with Unilocal and thought this place would be okay.
It was not. The soba soup I ordered tasted funny. There was this after taste that I cannot describe — too many mushrooms? There didn’t seem to be too many in the soup itself. Furthermore, the noodles weren’t real soba noodles. They were Chinese chow mein or lo mein noodles. What a disgrace! Being Chinese myself, I do not like it when restaurants mix up cuisines, and I am certainly particular about noodles. Moreover, if you’re going to charge $ 13, I can understand why if you’re using soba noodles, but if you’re using Chinese noodles, they’re easily half the price for twice the volume. And finally, the description on GrubHub said that this was served with a green salad, not included in the delivery package.
The unagi temaki was decent though, although quite expensive for this kind of sushi, in my opinion. It was small, about four inches in length and not even an inch in diameter. I probably wouldn’t order this again, as this size should warrant about a $ 4 charge, not $ 6. The gyoza was nothing to write home about — they were pretty tasteless.
The delivery guy was Hispanic and didn’t speak English well. I asked him if I needed to sign the GrubHub slip, which is pretty common, and he motioned no. I was fortunate that the delivery only took about 30 minutes, in contrast to the standard hour, but overall, I probably would not order from here again!

We ordered delivery from this place, the rolls were good, price was good, delivery was fast. We’ll definitely order from it again.

This is not the best sushi restaurant but the price is very good.
I like their rolls.

I order delivery from this place quite often and the delivery is very fast.
The food is good but not great and they have decent prices. I am not a huge fan of the beed negimaki because i find they beef to be a little bland and chewy. I have not tried any of the speciality rolls but the standard sushi items are OK. I would recommend the crispy duck spring rolls, the fried oysters. The best deal is the bento box, which comes with two protein entrees. Plus, they have a very extensive lunch menu.
In summary decent sushi with reasonable prices but nothing to really write home about.

I ordered delivery here once. Some nigiri, one roll, beef tataki and a spring roll. It came fast, but taste was awful. Worst delivery experience i have had. Tataki was totally not what I expected, Harumaki spring toll was not japanese spring roll as explained on the menu, and sushi were not fresh at all. I felt gross after while I ate. Will never order again.

I’ve ordered from here twice. I think delivery was fairly quick the first time; the second was fine, a couple minutes after the estimate but not bad. The sushi is pretty good, not mindblowing but tasty and doesn’t fall apart when you pick it up. I got the volcano special roll, which for the price ($ 13) I expected to be massive. It was average size; the «special crab meat salad» on top was good. I’d order again.

Alright so I started my meal and I knew I wasn’t expecting any 5 star sushi service, but still, I expected something better than what I had. I ordered my meal via Seamless.
I ordered Spicy Crunchy Salmon roll, Philly role, and Manhattan. Also had the gyoza & seaweed salad.
Gyoza: Flavorless, tasted like the frozen ones you get in the supermarket.
Seaweed Salad: Not hard to screw up, but this wasn’t the best at all. Flavorless and had a weird smell.
Rolls: Rolls were actually not bad at first, the crunchy salmon could use more crunch. My problem was the BONE I found in the Manhattan roll. Almost threw up, it was disgusting.
Don’t order from here, find a better option.

Ordered from here last I got the fried rice and hibachi beef it was really good considering it was delivery. The fried rice was delicious and the hibachi beef came with vegetables and it was delicious. This is my new go to Japanese place.
P.S I also got the tempura fried ice cream and it was awesome I highly recommend trying it

Writing my very first Unilocal review just so I can put the word out about the disgusting experience I had with Abi Sushi. I ordered a katsu don about an hour ago. It got delivered in a pretty timely manner and the delivery guy was nice.
The katsu don itself was bland, but overall tolerable. That is until I came across a hair which, quite frankly, looks like a pubic hair. Absolutely repulsive. I’ll try to upload a photo after I post this review.
I called Abi and the guy was quick to give me a refund, but rest assured I won’t be ordering from this place again.

This definitely isn’t the best sushi place, but they deliver very fast! I have ordered from there through Seamless and have received my delivery order in a very timely manner.
My roommate has also ordered from here on multiple occasions and received her food very fast.
The sushi here isn’t the greatest, but it is good if you want something very quick.
