I couldn’t have been happier with my experience here. I was having a terrible day while trying to get my car inspected and the main issue was that I had a crack in my windshield that meant I needed to replace the whole thing.
Pep boys suggested I call Safe Lite to come do it and they quoted me at an astronomical price. So after a quick lookup I found Ace and not only did they fix it for half the price but it was done in two hours, they were super nice and professional. I highly recommend this place for window replacement!

We HIGHLY recommend this place! We called after a rock hit and cracked our windshield. Choose this place over Safelite Auto Glass! Safelite quoted me at $ 490, and that’s after a $ 30 coupon. Ace Auto Glass did it for $ 250. I called ahead on a Monday to get a quote and made an appointment with Ace Auto Glass, and on Tuesday, we got their around 1:00pm and it was done an hour later. Very friendly service! After the job, it rained later that day and the day after, and NO LEAKS.

Go here if you have s leak, need a new windshield or need to locate where water is coming from. With all the rain the last couple of days, I had pool of water in the front passenger foot area. My mechanic told me it may be from the windshield, so I went to safelite and they quoted me for the replacement of my windshield. But it wasn’t my windshield at all. I googled auto glass and Ace came up. So I went. They took a power hose to the windshield and not a single drop of water came in. It turned out to be my waterways in the frame of the car starting from the sunroof leading to the engine. Don’t believe what you hear!!! Sometimes it’s a simple fix. With cars, hey, I’m not a mechanic, and I believe my mechanic is aces, he really is. But the people at safelite didn’t even want to see if there was another problem. They just do glass. Next time you have a glass issue, a leak, or want tints… do yourself a favor, check these guys out… like their name, they are aces!!! PS, my mechanic is Dennis. A great, not good, but great shop I had my ford explorer tinted 5% rear all around. Great job, and done in less than an hour. Really reasonable price, and guaranteed the work. I would highly recommend.

Great tint shop. I had some very minor bubbles and dust in my tint. Most people could probably live with it but I am pretty OCD with those things so I brought it back. I figure I would have to pay a little fee to get it fixed but thankfully, they replaced the problematic tints free of charge! I was very happy. The tints are not brand name 3M but they are definitely quality tints.
I would definitely recommend this place to friends, especially if they are korean. The two ahjussis are very nice. I brought it in early on a saturday, they made me some green tea and I got to watch and chat with them while they put the tints on.

I got a crack in my front windshield from a rock that came off a stupid construction dump truck on the highway (this was the 2^nd time this has happened to me!). Anyway, I contacted Safelite because they have lots of commercials. They wanted to charge me $ 700 to replace my front windshield!
I called Ace and they said they could do it for $ 200. I was wondering if there was some catch, but they got the glass in from a supplier in NJ the next day and it was done in a few hours. It’s been a few months and haven’t had any issues.
These guys are Korean, so if you’re Korean and want your own people to replace your auto glass and don’t want to go out to Flushing, these guys are good.

I needed to get windows tinted on my car and Ace Auto Glass was the closest shop near me that specializes in it. They carry different types and they use their best judgment as to what type of tints may look good on your type of vehicle. I came to their shop with a set idea but after they shed a little bit of suggestions, i decided on their opinion instead. I only needed the back passenger and rear windows done and they did it for a decent price. They told me it may take an hour or so but they actually did it in 45 minutes. At first you see a bit of bubbling around the edges but they will go away as it dries for a few days.
Tipping is optional but because I was so impressed, i did anyway.
Def will recommend this place to my friends if they ever need a tint job.

My rear window was completely shattered. I called Ace and recieved an amazing quote — about $ 300 cheaper than what other places quoted. When I brought the car in for servicing, they honored their original quote and even fixed my rear wiper, which was also damaged unbeknownst to me. The replacement window was not an exact match to the original glass, but close enough! The service was amazing — fast, courteous, concise and ontime. In these days where customer service generally sucks, that is a miracle and very refreshing! When I left my car there to be fixed, I was very confident I would return to a completely repaired rear window. The guys just exude trustworthiness and gave me their honest analysis and options for repairing the window.
Many thanks to Ace Auto Glass. They really made a very unpleasant situation much easier to handle and alleviated much stress. Now if they can only tutor other businesses in the art of customer service!

Update: They are doing right and redoing my tints do to bubbling from previous tint install by them.
Nice guys about doing the work again even though the front tints took about 3 tries.

My insurance company was unable to get my window replaced quickly; 5 day wait. So, I searched on the internet for nearby auto glass repair shops and found Ace. Read the reviews and decided to go there. Their service was quick. friendly and accommodating. And, best of all, they had the best price around. They completely vacuumed out the broken glass and removed the cinderblock someone had used to break the glass. Very thorough and friendly. They’ve been in business for about 15 years and I highly recommend them.
They don’t take checks but they do take credit and debit cards; so it’s not just cash only.

Went to them after reading other Unilocal reviews. and everyone is dead on. These guys are super friendly, quick, and inexpensive. They are family run and really sweet. They remedy a crappy situation (getting your glass smashed for a GPS) in no time. I’d recommend them for sure.

Had to replace car window really quick, and I was sent here through a friend. Wow, it was done in a few hours and was around $ 250. The best part was the guy cleaned all broken glasses really nicely, which I think very rare these days?
Be aware, the guy is «cash-​only», just like most 21^st street car shop.

Based on the other reviews, I went here to get my rear passenger window replaced (it was smashed in by someone who broke into my car). I give 3 stars because I got there at 10 am and I left at 2:30 pm, when it was promised at noon. I also give 3 stars because the tint was not done when I got back to pick it up, and then he said it was $ 20 more for the tint when the first guy quoted $ 280 for everything + installation. I guess I assumed he saw the other window was tinted, and I would need the replaced window to be tinted too… so if your window was tinted, make sure to mention it before you pick it up: P

Ace replaced my windshield and stayed open after closing to do so. They made it quite easy and also transferred my registration/​safety inspection stickers and EZ Pass to the new glass without asking. The cost was $ 175 for a Nissan Pathfinder. If the windshield doesn’t leak when it rains, it will have been a perfect transaction (though they only take cash).

I took my car to Ace when my car got broken into (for my GPS). Seems a standard problem here in Astoria. Either way, They did a great quick job and because at the time I lived right next door to them it was easy. I live a few blocks away now, but still a very nice leisurely walk around astoria. I called around all over the place, too and so far they are the best priced place. including places in Jersey. I mean. come one people! Its Jersey! geez. Anyways. this place is great. Although their card machine doesn’t work. who cares because their prices are so much better anyway.

My car was burglarized and the windows shattered. Went to ace to repair the shattered glass. They only deal with glass replacement and window tinting. They were upfront with the cost and it took about one hour for the replacement glass to be delivered. And 30 minutes for them to replace the shattered window. I too, was told that their credit card machine was «broken». So I paid in cash and requested a receipt.
There are many shady auto repair shop on 21^st street. Overall, I was happy with the prompt service at ace.

My car was burglarized twice in two weeks (stupid GPS suction cup marks). They got nuttin’ both times, but had me looking for an auto glass repair place at 6 AM. I found Ace on some «other» review site, and had John on the phone around 7:30 AM. The car was in his hands a little after 8, and the job was done by 9:30 (not bad since he had to order the glass from whatever magical auto glass fairy delivers to local auto glass shops).
The service was quick and friendly, and the price was right. I dropped 1 star, though, because there were some hiccups:
— loose glass in the door making noise (which John fixed after I complained) the first time
— the credit card machine mysteriously not working either time (forcing me across 21^st street to hit the ATM)
All in all, when I expect anyone who touches cars for a living to be a bit slimy, this guy seemed relatively trustworthy.
If only I could say that about some of my kleptophiliac neighbors…
