Terrible bodega trying to rip you off. I live on the block and came by here to by regular postage stamps a few weeks ago. I ended up paying $ 2 for 3 of them. $ 0.66 a piece, that’s slightly overpriced, but I understand the markup for the convenience of not having to go leave my block to find stamps. Fast forward to this morning and I walk in to buy just one stamp to mail a card and the guy asks me for $ 1.65. I told him he must have had the price wrong because I almost paid that amount for 3 stamps and he just laughed at me and told me to leave if I didn’t like the price. Anyway I just went up the block to 7 Eleven and bought my stamp for the actual postage price of $ 0.49.

Like the reviewer before me asked, where are the cards? You can buy your last minute bodega needs here, because that is what it is… your local bodega. Not a card shop, I repeat, NOT a card shop. I think this might be listed on Unilocal as a locksmith’s shop… am I mistaken? If so, we have a serious identity crisis going on here.

I don’t get it. If you’re looking to buy greeting cards(which the awning boasts of having), you are out of luck here. Why is it called Cards Plus? Maybe it’s because they have phone cards, but there were no greeting cards in sight. Here’s what they do have: –lottery tickets –magazines –cigarettes –non-alcoholic beverages –beer –candy –gum –a few snacks –toilet paper –paper towels –and pretty much everything a basic bodega would have But c’mon! This is Cards Plus! I was hoping for some good, old fashioned Hallmark tears.(Actually I didn’t expect to find greeting cards at all, but I checked it out just to be sure.) They definitely don’t lie about having the«Plus» though.
