I thought I should leave the first review, since Jeff earned it. Went out on Sunday, and our boat of 5 got limits(1 chinook, 1 coho each) by 1pm, and were the first boat back to the dock. If the wind hadn’t picked up, it probably would’ve been an hour earlier. What’s notable about that is that we were also one of the last boats OUT — leaving the dock at 9:30. He was all about going fishing at the time most likely to catch fish, not 7am-3pm regardless of tides or weather. As I’ve fished all my life, I am perfectly aware that it’s called fishing, not catching, and some days you get lucky, other days you don’t. I won’t put too much stock in the fact he outfished every boat on the water(and there were hundreds)… I give 5 stars because he CARED about catching fish and providing his clients the best opportunity to catch fish. * He knew the time the fish would bite, and scheduled the trip around that. * He put the baits at different depths and locations, and adjusted the pattern according to the bite(which this day was NOT typical– I won’t give away his secrets) * The boat is comfortable, and handled the rough water extremely well. * The price was very reasonable. As a bonus, his awesome little dog went with us, adding a lucky spark and making the whole trip more enjoyable. That dog knows how to fish, too, and alerted to bites! In the spirit of full disclosure, there were some things that could’ve been improved upon: * could do a better job of telling people where to meet, park, etc. It was a little difficult to find with limited instructions * could use some new seats on the boat. Those are very small prices to pay for an excellent day of fishing. I would both highly recommend, and intend on returning.
