I was looking for a good deli in the neighborhood to find drinks to go with our lunch and we surrendipitously found this charming Italian deli, Dave and Tony. It has a lot of Italian food products inside, from pasta, to fresh deli products such as mozzarella. Like all good Italian delis they have a wide selection of San Pellegrino water and soda. They also have regular soda, at the unbeatable price of a dollar per can. The only downside is that the club soda cans were so dirty, my father didn’t really want drink from them. The employees cleaned it though, and they were very courteous in general. Overall, I think Dave and Tony deli adds something unique to Astoria and I’m glad we found it.

I come here probably 3x a month and have always had a great experience. I actually look forward to needing something from D&T. We get all of our cheeses from here and most of our olives. They will often give you a taste of something which I normally go back to buy the next time. They also have hard to find Italian/Sicilian products(like pistachio cream). One time I went to Sorriso trying to find it and they’d never heard of it. The guys behind the counter also speak Italian(even the young guy) which is good for Nonna :)

Great old school Italian deli. I think it’s a father and son team that really know their products. Feel free to let them guide you. Go in and ask«what’s good today?» There’ll always have awesome cold cuts, great fresh mozzarella and Italian sausage(made in house). The semolina bread they sell is some of the best in the neighborhood, ask the guys behind the counter & they will make you a fantastic hero. There’s no sandwich list, so do what I do and pick your favorites or ask and they’ll help out. This is the kind of neighborhood place you wish you had in yours. I hope they stay around for many more years to come. It’s always a happy ending when I leave there

I’d never visited a salumeria that smelled like a pet store until I walked into Dave & Tony’s after a stop at Rudy’s next door. With that plus a credit card minimum and a huge # of staff who don’t seem to want to take your order, I’ll pass.

Great authentic Italian Deli on 30th Ave. I go here for delicious stuffed peppers and they’re ALWAYS a hit when I bring them to parties! They also have fresh pasta and mozzarella for sale throughout the deli as well as some more exotic food that I would be into if I was a more adventurous eater(octopus, rabbit, etc). Staff is very friendly and inviting — great deli!

Whenever I need imported mozzarella di bufala, stracchino, and mascarpone with gorgonzola – and it’s often – I come here. They also carry fresh pasta, cured meats, espresso ground coffee, olive oil, and even things like detergent from Italy. The gentlemen behind the counter are always funny and conscientious. It’s like shopping in Italy – without having to fly there!

They make a pretty good Italian Combo and have a nice selection of meats and cheese. The mozzarella is all home made and delicious. They were very welcoming and happy to serve. The cat was even more welcoming as he insisted that I play with him while my sandwich was being made.

We love this neighborhood salumeria! Amazing shop chock full of Italian cakes, pasta, delicious cured meats, sausage, fresh mozzarella, octopus in oil, sun dried tomatoes, coffees and on and on with tasty Italian treats. Ask for recommendations and you’ll be introduced to some wonderful taste treats. This is a highlight of 30th Avenue, the Eatly of Astoria!

This place is a blessing to have in the neighborhood. Huge selection of quality cured meats, cheeses and just about anything Italian I’d ever need in my kitchen. Dave, Tony and their pet cat who work the store everyday have always been friendly. The cat occasionally lets you pet her which is pretty dope.

How about some nice Italian meat??? Dave and Tony’s Deli has it, imported prosciutto? Have it right here. Freshly made pasta? Here ya go boyee, got you covered Fresh Mozzarella? I have some here but I made some fresh in the back, hold on I get it for you *Here’s something strange, I bought a nice, fresh ball of their mozzarella. I guess it was so fresh that it only stayed for two days? It turned into a creamy mess after day two. Everything else we purchased was fine Dried meats hanging all over the place, cheeses, you want good Italian? You’ve arrived

Stopped by here for some fresh pasta! $ 3.50 per lb, which I thought was an amazing deal(but then again, this was my first time buying pasta)! Guy was super nice and gave me tips on how to cook it, and we both agreed that living to eat is way better than eating to live! Will definitely be back for my fresh pasta(as well as mozz!) needs!

I love the way this place smells. Like dried meats. Anyway, this is a great little family owned shop that has an excellent selection of meats, cheeses, deli items and tons of pastas and sundries. I highly recommend their imported prosciutto– it’s always tender and sweet. The mozzarella is good too and I get tons of ideas browsing here for big Italian dinners I’d like to cook… But I always end up eating nothing but good antipasti from there.

Classic old school Italian deli, and amongst the top in our book, as it is our go to resource for Italian staples including but not limited to fresh mozz, canned San Marzano tomatoes, dried pasta, and Hungarian salami. A Kind and helpful staff has kept my wife and I coming back years, and hopefully for years to come.

A fantastic Italian deli. I walk in there and feel like I’m in Italy. I primarily go there for the Italian Heros. I highly recommend a sandwich with their homemade mozzarella. I usually walk in just for a sandwich, but always walk out with a few other imported Italian specialties. I hear their sausage is good too.

I wanted to find one place in this area that has all my shopping needs, when I realized that’s not going to happen I took the opposite approach and thought back how people used to shop and still do in Europe, go to small specialty places for each item. This place for what I needed was great, Sopressata and Turkey, next time I will get a dry sausage and some other Italian things that I love.

Get your sausage here Get your cold cuts here Get your Serrano Ham here Get your Illi coffee here Get your cheese here Staff is very friendly and knowledgable. This place has been here for a long time, and that is not a fluke. I recommend purchasing all of your sundry Italian edibles here, I do. Its place is very clean, and the prices are below what they should be for this high quality.
