Best car service EVER! My driver this morning, I think his name was Cristian, so friendly, considerate and very polite. Will use this service all the time

First I want to say that I never hardly ever write reviews about anything in life, but this is just one of those moments where the disbelief and inconsideration for customers is beyond me. Not only did they fail to notify me that the cab had arrived but after flagging the cab driver down he continue to drive off. I then called the base only to get my calls unanswered. I called multiple times and I was on hold for more than 40 minutes!!! And please believe me I’m not exaggerating this has to be THE WORSE CAB SERVICE EVER!!! I will never call them again. Be an adult and have the decency to pick up the phone !!!

They are excellent. Very rarely to you have a problem…

Decent car service.

Ecua is as good as it gets for the price.
They have always been on time for me.
They are quite busy and a bit short on the phone… You have to ask for a price…
Also the cars are not brand new, but have always been clean and comfortable.

Just got out of the cab… Jose was such a nice cab driver, and came to pick us up in minutes. This cab company didn’t over charge, very reasonable price. Thank you!

Scammers! SHADY BUSINESS! Do not trust them!!!
I called for this service to take my to Brooklyn. It was 5am and I was beyond exhausted and ready to pass out. Over the phone the dispatcher said it would cost $ 37. When I got to my destination, the driver «Luis Lozado» (I assume that was his name as I saw off my banking statement) charged me $ 45! Because I was too tired and a bit In shock being ripped off to argue with him, I got his company card and I would call them later, but then suddenly I had to rush to my landline phone to call them within 30 seconds to inform I left my cell phone in the car. They gave me of the «option» of traveling all the way to Astoria to get it or the driver returns and charges me $ 15. Of course I chose to pay the $ 15 as I already saw how shady they were to feel I might never see that phone again. They could steal it and sell it for all I know.
Also the dispatcher was shady. When I called him to inform about the phone he lied that the driver was already on the B.Q.E high way and that it will take him 20 minutes to drive back. Major bull cause it wasn’t that long I called the company after the driver took off!
Unfortunately, this is the kind of service they represent. If they think they can scam you, they will.

Wasn’t made aware my car did not have a credit card machine but when I paid with a $ 50, the driver did not have the proper change and I was shorted $ 7. Not that much money but I will be sure not to use this service again. Should have trusted über or lyft like I normally do.
Make sure your drivers have change if they are cash only please.

Almost 3 years ago, after the absolute best first date I’ve ever had, a sweet gentleman used Ecua Car Service to have me sent home during a ridiculously heavy rainstorm at like 2:30am. He gave the driver money to make sure my fare was covered and asked me to text him when I was home safe.
I’m still texting this individual to let him know when I’m home safe after we spend time together and we’re still using Ecua to get around. I’ve used them consistently to get to Astoria from another part of Queens, to go from Astoria to Jackson Heights and once to go to Sunnyside from Astoria… my sweetheart uses them to get to LaGuardia Airport as well whenever we’ve travelled together to a pace that requires an airplane.
I’ve just started to check-​in when I use them, but it’s easily been over 7 – 8 times and they’re always efficient, fast, reasonably priced, friendly and professional. Whenever I have to opportunity to use them it’s always a no brainer. Go Ecua!

The only reliable can service in Astoria. They always get me to where I’m going.
The dispatcher is always nice and the drivers are almost always here within 3 minutes.
Most drivers are friendly, they talk to you a lot and use their GPS to find the fastest route.
I take this service at least 2 days a week so they are reliable.
A few things, though :
Drivers are ALWAYS ridiculously rude when I say I’m paying with a card. They make the entire transaction uncomfortable by sucking their teeth, huffing, puffing, and even yelling! «Come on!»
Too many times I’ve called for a cab and the line was busy. It stays busy for over an hour. I’m always late to work. They should invest in a call waiting or something.
One specific driver never knows where he’s going and always charges me a few dollars extra then the dispatcher.
So my advice to you is pay in cash and always call ahead so you’re not late for something important.

Used to love this car service… for years. They were always dependable and decent. Step it up, guys. You are competing with the green cabs now. When I go to your office for a lift, please don’t ignore me forever while I’m cold in the snow, knocking on your window. Don’t shake your finger in my face and shout «three minutes». I used to be able to sit inside your office, warm. In the time you left me cold outside, I jumped in a green cab. #nolongerimpressed

Punctual, very friendly, and knowledgeable about how to best navigate into Manhattan even with bad weather and morning rush. Driver said not all their drivers take credit cards, to tell the person when you call to request pickup so they know ahead of time, if that’s how you plan to pay. I was lucky that mine just happened to be one of them.

they need to get new cars! I was picked up and the car was breaking down, shaking jerking back and forth and he was telling me it was the transmission … should fix this problem before traveling distances and picking people up.

This is by far most the best car service you can find in Astoria! I have been using Ecua for quite a while now especially late nights, the overnight dispatcher picks up the phone within a ring, he is very professional on the phone and always knows my name! I have called other taxi services who answer the phones with a rude manner etc. Ecua has the best dispatcher! The drivers are always nice and on time!! The cabs are clean and arrive within 4– 5 minutes and get you where you want efficiently. I highly recommend Ecua Car Service! It is good to know that there is a car service you can always depend on! I used to use these guys everyday. They are the best! They always arrive in 3 – 4 minutes and charge very fair prices. They even helped me move once. Now I have a car and only use them once in a while. But it is definitely a great feeling to know they are always there when needed.

If you want punctuality, courtesy, fairest prices and cars in 3 minutes, yes! 3 minutes you can’t go wrong with Ecua Car Service. They are the most reliable car service in Astoria I have used and I cannot say enough about the courtesy of Odair, this guy knows my name every time I call! Great service, clean vehicles, very polite and professional drivers. Thank you Ecua!

I don’t usually take cabs much but when I do I always call them 95% of the time I have it’s been about a 5 min wait (maybe cas I live a few blocks away) anyway I’ve never had to wait long only once can’t remember if it was a holiday or because the weather sucked so much with all the snow. I used them this past weekend&for the 1^st time left something in a cab (camera), I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to get my camera back especially if he picked some1 else up afterwards but not only did I get my camera back the next day he went out of his way to give it to me. I didn’t have my phone on me&was feeling a bit sick, he must have tried calling me 6 or 7 times&then just came to my house, I was surprised cas although I return things I never expect other pple 2, was sure another passenger picked it up so Thank You for returning my camera Julio :)

When I moved to Astoria I used ECUA services on a monthly basis. Now we bought a car so I use them only when need to get to the airport.
They never let me down, always came on time. Actually a lot of times they would show up 5 – 10 minutes before the scheduled time. They would honk but if I wasn’t ready, would just let them wait.
Maybe because I live one block away.
They are a bit pricer then some others. Once I called them to get a quote to LES from Astoria. They said 34 $. Yellow cab is about 20 $ plus tip. Some other car service is 30 $.
The car was always clean and the drivers were nice, no complaints there.

When I first moved to Astoria in 2010, Ecua was the only car service I used, and that lasted for almost a year. But then, I think they started getting lazy.
Now, every time I call, I am answered by a recording and then must wait about 5 minutes for a human to answer.
But the cherry on top of my dismay is definitely the time I was extremely late for a work meeting in Midtown, and called Ecua to get me to the office faster than the subway ever could. Which, to be fair, they did.
However, they sent an SUV with a laptop inside and Wi-​Fi, neither of which I used. I assumed that since I did not request this kind of ride, I would not be charged for it. Wrong — the driver charged me $ 4 for the car and the extras I didn’t use, and for using a credit card since I did not have enough cash to cover the ride, as it was more expensive than it was just a month before, by about $ 5. I usually get the fare from the dispatcher, because the driver must adhere to that, but I was in such a rush I didn’t think to ask. My mistake.
Now, I use Barona’s or New Experience. I may wait longer for the car with Barona, but that is offset by the time I spend on hold with Ecua. And just a note — don’t even try calling Ecua if it is raining, or if it is a Thursday, Friday or Saturday from 7pm to 4am. You will either be on hold for much longer than is acceptable, or they will promise you a car in 5 minutes, and when you call back because no one showed up, they will tell you they didn’t have any cars available to begin with.
I give the drivers an extra star because they have always been very nice and professional, save for the one who charged me extra for everything despite my protests.

Mornings like this morning are why Ecua is so good. The N train inexplicably stopped running. Literally hundreds of Astorians went running for the bus, for taxis, and reached for their phones to call their favorite car service. Despite unusually heavy demand, an Ecua driver showed up at my house 6 minutes after I called, just enough time to grab an egg and bacon roll from Othello. Crisis averted.
