The music is very good here! They have up to date hip hop music so once the liquor is in your system you’ll wanna get up and dance! I came on a Friday night around 10 – 11. It was very packed. But the cool thing is they were doing a special; if you buy a fishbowl for $ 45 you can get a $ 1 hookah(regular flavor only) The fishbowl got me and my 2 other friends lit LOL. It was yummy and very strong as well! The hookah is nice here too, when the coal got weak they’d bring new ones throughout the night. Overall had a good time here!

I went here and the people lost my ID and my debit card after taking it and tried to blame it on me when they never handed it back to me. The service was slow ad the couches look shitty. They really know how to steal from you. When I got home I noticed my debit card was charged at fayrooz when I haven’t used it all night. So basically I paid for someone else’s bill and they gave somone else my ID and bank card. If you wanna have a shittty night and wanna lose money go here! Now I’m gonna try to fight for them to give me money for a replacement ID. Hate this place!

Don’t waste your time and MONEY here. There is no good service and the staff horrible!!! Again, if you are looking for a place to have a good time, THISISNOTTHEPLACE!!! The so called«manager«with jean size«36» or perhaps«38» is good for nothing, the owner should replace this her with the other girls who are more respectful.

Service is not up to par. The food is below par too. The items on the menu are overly priced and they even tacked on additional fees on top everything else at the end of the bill. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve come to Fayrooz a few times and it’s alright. They have food, hookah, and alcohol which is accommodating. The place seems clean but it is very dark like most hookah lounges. I came here on a Wednesday to celebrate a friends birthday and it was pretty lively for a Wednesday night. The DJ played good music but was really feeling himself. It was comedic. The waitress was okay. She wasn’t too thrilled to have 10+ people walk in, it was evident by the way she took our order. She refused to take any orders until all the people in our party were present which I understand but there were only 2 people missing from a group of 12; I thought that was a bit ridiculous. The service wasn’t all that great. This wouldn’t be my first choice of hookah lounges on Steinway but it’s not the worst either.

Finally decided to give this place a try again since I was in the area having dinner with some friends, the bouncer at the door was really friendly so that was a plus. They only had a table located next to the door but we didn’t want to sit there because of the cold air so we decided to buy bottle service to sit in the back, group of 5. Once we set down, the waitress came over and said we couldn’t buy the bottle service for five people we would need to purchase more than one bottle to sit in the section. So I said OK how about we buy two buckets of beers I guess she left to go check with the manager, after waiting about 15mins for her to come back we just got up and sat at a table where other customers were leaving. Waited another 10−15mins to get our order taken… Hookah was crap and tasted burnt We asked if we can split the bill on 2 cards the manager said no we don’t do that. Ok fine we gave one card, once we got the $ 356 dollar bill we were ridiculously over charged, I mean come on $ 14 for rum/coke? In astoria? Plus food added to our bill that we never even ordered. And with that said gratuity was already added for the worst service. Only thing good about the night was the DJ, I will never come to this place again. Train your employees and management!!! Never again!

My friend and I randomly decided to hit up Astoria for some hookah after dinner. Initially, we were headed to Ignited, but once inside we learned that they didn’t serve alcohol and the place was filled with a bunch of college aged kids(freshman), we wandered down Steinway in search of some place better. We decided to hit Fayrooz… The bouncer(s) were friendly and after checking our IDs they informed us that because it was a busy night there was a $ 25 minimum/person tab… We were seated and greeted by the waitresses immediately. SERVICE: Swift and friendly. However, the support staff(dudes who bring and switch out the hook tops) seemed a bit rude when we asked them to bring us extra mouthpieces and tongs. Idk what that was about. HOOKAH: We only had the mixed fruit. It was OK – not the best I’ve had, but not the worse either. It kept drying out pretty quickly though. DRINKS: So good! I had a Henny Colada and my friend had a margarita. Both were well mixed and strong enough. FOOD: My friend ordered BBQ wings. She said they were soso. I didn’t have any, since we had ate dinner elsewhere. ATMOSPHERE: The DJ was popping. Mixing mostly Hip Hop/Trap Music/Spanish/a little Caribbean. People were nice and chill. Mixed ages: 21 – 30 would be my guess. Some dudes next to us were pretty chill and brought a couple of shots for my friend and I and two other girls sitting next to us. We returned the favor, buying them a round. We all started to chat it up and had a great time! The night was pretty chill. However, what LEFT A BADTASTE in our mouths was the manager and/or owner who asked us to leave swiftly, just after we had closed out our tab(even though we hadn’t even asked for the check yet). Our hookah wasn’t even finished. We explained that to him and he said it’s a pretty packed night and a line outside so he wanted to free up the table for another group. We must’ve looked at him like: «We not trying to hear the bullsh*t when we just paid our $$$ and our hookah isn’t even done.» because he changed his tone and offered us a round of shots – patron. We were so over it so we agreed, took our shots, said bye to our new friends and bounced. Overall, chill spot.

This place is soooooooo racist !!! If your an African American you will most definitely feel uncomfortable coming to this place! I gave them an authentic 100 dollar bill and they made a big scene in front of everyone telling me to go across the street to get change! I feel so offended I work at a bank !!! The guy told me he had so much recent fake money transactions that he couldn’t take time and I totally understand that but you should not let this offend your customers ! In this case you need to have an currency checker. This was the worst night ever and I would ever in my entire life living in nyc go back here again and they had the nerve to take the customers next to me who happen to be white and paid with 100.00 bill as well with no problem!!! Please save yourself from this business they are soooooo unprofessional…

The ICE hookah was okay, the drinks were overpriced for some tacky cheap wines but the coup de grace was the tight-lipped, grim-faced Tamara, who was nasty and rude. We were here for a few hours and she spent the majority of the time in the back kitchen, resulting us having to wave her down, which is WHY we were obviously peeved at the fact that she gave herself such a generous tip, which she was so undeserving of.(see picture) I have never seen a waitress add a service tip for a PARTYOFTWO! I guess she had to make up for the fact that the place was empty. Furthermore, with literally no one there, we asked if she could change the radio station that was playing 70’s hits(–_-) she said we can listen to anything but hip-hop… Um, okay? Needless to say, I will never waste my time here again!

Where do I begin… The place is visibly filthy, dirty seats with holes all over the furniture, and wobbling tables. We had to send the hookah back because the first time it didn’t taste like the flavor we ordered and then once it was fixed after the first couple pulls, the flavor was gone and just tasted awful. The never came to change the coal and mind you it was DEAD! No more than 4 others in there. They actually were trying to charge $ 15 for mojitos and other mixed drinks hahaha, I wouldn’t pay more than $ 4 in there for any beverage. It was very cute to see them market to a young demo with $ 600 bottle service! Don’t disappoint yourself going here. This is not a spot for adults, but a spot for 18 year old and broke 25 year olds.

Honestly I walked in expecting to hate this place but to my surprise it was okay. Everyone from the bouncers to our waitress to the busboys were really nice and attentive and I really appreciate that. We got the mint hookah which was great, and a couple of drinks that were nothing special and too expensive. The DJ on friday was awesome, playing hiphop and dancehall and reggaeton. No awkward song transitions like I’ve seen some other«DJs» do, so this guy atleast knows what he’s doing. A lot of babies(18 – 21 y. o) frequent the hookah lounges on steinway, and this one was no exception. I’m barely 26 and almost felt like I was too old to be here. But everyone minded their business, and the music and hookah were worth staying awhile for. Bring a group and chill. PS note to Fayrooz, if you’re gonna have a «bottle service» area and charge $ 175+ for it you should atleast update the ratty pillows and couch.

This place is absolutely great, we came here after our Job holiday party last night 12÷29÷15. My Friend and I were the first to arrive and to the guy(I can’t remember his name I think he was the bartender/manager who by the way was amazing) to expect a large crowd. Him and the staff were very accommodating and nice. The Hookah was great and the food as well. The music was also on point. As the night progress the crowd grew bigger and of course people started becoming obnoxious and spilling drinks and breaking the glasses the staff however maintain their professionalism and handle the situations very well. When some knuckleheads started acting up the owner Sebastian(absolutely amazing as well) took care of the situation awesome. The only thing I suggested that they change which they did is that when we arrived the were doing tabs per table which I suggested to make everyone pay when the receive their order, so ppl wouldn’t stiff them on the bill. Me and friends made sure every tab was paid before we left Overall great place, amazing staff, drinks, food and hookah,. Would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone looking for a great hookah spot. I will definitely be back.

I have been here couple of times with my friends and boyfriend. It is a pretty chill place. The hookah had issues few times but the food and drinks were on point. I would totally recommend this to people. Also, I think they should have disco lights or something for a not so dark place.

Where do I start, cook came to bring food out and he had pajamas pants on. Lady ask for a credit card to hold which is ridiculous and than we could split bill. Hookah was horrible. Never again. I was embarrassed I brought my friends there.

First time here with my husband, his best friend and girlfriend. We had a few drinks(which were made very strong) the guys had a bite to eat(the standard bar food mixed in with Mediterranean food) and we smoked hookah with this super awesome Skittle flavor. Service was great, we had a Hispanic waitress/server who was very attentive and sweet. My only complaint would be the super loud music. At times it was impossible for us to hear each other. Not sure what they were trying to do with that.

Nice place to go when you have enough time to spend I went there last night The guy at the door is very nice BUT the service was pretty slow and the bill was pretty high for a Hookah place I’m not sure if I’ll go back there again
