I hate Norma, Norma is very unhelpful. As u can see from other reviews, Norma SUcks. Not all the machines work and when you tell management aka Norma she tells you to go f$&@ yourself

I did drop off service over a year, until more and more frequently smelly folded clothes came back. At first, 10 out of 10 items came back clean, then a month goes by, and only 9 of 10 items came back smelling fresh. Some more time passes, 8 of 10, 7 of 10, 6 of 10. Till a few months ago, I realized I could save $ 20 and have great smelling clothes by spending the hour doing it myself and back to the 10 out of 10 items clean!
But then one day, after dousing my clothes in spring rain Tide, and scented liquid fabric softener, AND making sure an appropriate amount of clothes were inserted, I was back to 6 of 10 clean!
At first I thought it was me. I thought no way, is such a reputable company starting to diminish so close to my home. I must be the one too stinky for this laundry mat. I must be over working! Do I talk to my boss? But I sit at a desk! Do I stop my personal trainer? Wait, I don’t have one… sigh.
I tried for another week…
Same detergent, non over loaded machines, same dry cycle… same stinky.
I moved my laundry to the mat next door to Astoria Beer and Cheese. New machines, cleaner filters, less shakey, friendlier staff, brighter lights. Sure enough, my stinky went away.
Sure, its a quarter more per load and its a block farther. But I now only have to use one machine. Even though its over packed, I now have great smelling clean clothes. My hair even started to grow back! My teeth appear whiter against my whites and my girlfriend moved back in!
I give this establishment 3 stars because they have been here for a long time and I do not want to hurt the business. The owners seem a little out dated and out of touch with cleanliness and do not have wonderful customer service, I think they do try. However, they should do a little renovating if they want me to come back.

I can’t decide if the second star is to placate myself when I keep going back because it is literally too convenient to leave, or if it’s because she at least gave me the right amount of money back.
I have been going to this laundromat since I was a little kid. The machines have been the same for almost as long as I can remember, and even if they’re been updated recently, it’s been years since they were installed. Saturday night, I’m doing laundry and am using up 4 dryers. 2 set to Medium, 1 set to High, and 1 set to Low, all for 48 minutes each (you pay for increments of 8 minutes, 25 cents each).
The boy and I come back about 5 minutes before the dryers are all done. The laundromat is set to close within 20 at that point, and as I’m going through my clothes and folding them, I open the last dryer after it stops spinning — one of the two that was on Medium, and everything is completely wet. Here are two things to think about:
1. The whole time I’ve been there, the dryers were all still spinning. So I did remember to turn them all on.
2. The dryers only have 3 settings — Low, Medium, and High. So, as the boy pointed out, «There’s no setting that just says spin my clothes around without any heat*! How could anyone even ‘do it wrong?’»
When I told the owner that her machine might be broken, she didn’t immediately offer me the refund of like, $ 1.50, or apologize, or do anything besides tell me she didn’t know if I did it wrong but that I would need to take it home since they were closing soon. I didn’t want to have to actually ask for my money back, but I did because of this: Instead of admitting that there was a possibility something was wrong with the machine (two rows over, another dryer displayed an «Out of Order» sign) she felt my clothes and simply said, «It was working all day. I wasn’t watching it so I don’t know if you did it wrong or what but yes, the clothes are wet.» I explained how much time I had paid for and what heat setting I had used, and she simply repeated that she didn’t know what I did and that it had been working all day. I stared at her somewhat incredulously and she stared back awkwardly, so at this point I did mention how all my other clothes were quite dry, even the all-​sweater machine that was set to Low. Still nothing, so I requested my quarters and she slowly and uncomfortably obliged.
Once again, at least she gave me the right number of quarters?
*There are dryers that have a «No Heat» or «Tumble Only» setting, depending on the manufacturer. But we checked. These dryers are idiot-​proof.

I’m sorry to write this place a bad review because I’ve had two years of good service with them, but here I go. All the ladies in the facility are pleasant people, but today I encountered the one gentlemen I see around on occasion. I have no idea if he is the owner or what, but keeping him hidden from public is the best thing they can do.
Upon entering the laundromat to pick up my laundry I noticed that no one was around. I walked the place a bit looking to see if I could spot anyone and after a few minutes of no luck I decided to knock on the office door just in case someone was in the back that I couldn’t see. Right after I knocked he pops out of the bathroom. With a smile and my slip in my hand I ask if he worked there. I don’t receive a hi or an answer back, just a look of pure disgust. He takes my money and finds my laundry bag, all the while not saying one word or cracking a hint of a smile. It was the worst interaction I’ve ever had at a place of service.
Feel free to use their services, it may be an okay experience. But good luck to you if you end up with that ass-​hole.

I’ve been going to them for about a year. You can do your own laundry or have them do it. They have never lost any clothing. Always done when they say it will be done. Super friendly staff. I highly recommend.

I do a drop off/​pick up from this laundromat every week.
If you get your laundry there by 8−9am, it’s ready by that same evening.
The staff is friendly and I’ve never lost an article of clothing.
I’m going to continue to use them.
