Horrible people to rent from! Getting into the apartment is one thing, but it all changes once you are in! Riders are attached to your lease with no signatures, rules are created and if your response is not immediate, let the threats begin. When I moved in I was promised that rent would only ever increase by $ 50 a year. This was the case every year that property value in my area didn’t move, they still got their extra $ 50 every lease. However when my neighborhood became much more popular, that promise of $ 50 went straight out the window when it convenient FORTHEM to jack it up $ 100. And when I inquired, I was answered with a shrug. Unprofessional, temperamental and most of the time just plain rude. Don’t waste your time or energy.

I just placed a couple in one apartment in one of the buildings. At lease signing the landlords representative Ann M was thorough and clear on all parts of the lease and extremely helpful to my clients. Thank you ANN for all your help.

It was a little surprising to see such a negative review of HRV Management here. I’ve been a tenant of one of their buildings near 21st St and Broadway and have had an excellent experience with them, specifically with Anne. The building is extremely well-maintained(cleanest building I’ve ever lived in – and this is not a brand new building), I’ve never had any bug or mice issues, and whenever I’ve had a need for maintenance, they’ve been extremely responsive. They can be a bit OCD about things but that’s exactly why the building is so well-maintained. If you’re the type of person who always pays everything on time, dots all their I’s and crosses their T’s, follows all the rules, etc., you will love living in a building managed by HRV. I would imagine that if you’re a bit loosy-goosey and don’t handle deadlines, rules, etc. very well, HRV’s attention to detail may be a bit off-putting to you. I’m sad to move out but I’ve got 2 kids and need a slightly larger space.
