I didn’t like the hookah and they charged me 18 $ for a heavy regular one I would get a fresh long lasting hookah in Manhattan NY for the same price. the juice was not bad though

Decided to stop by here at around 12:30 in the afternoon since most of the other lounges were closed, and I’m so glad I did! We tried the blue mist flavor($ 14 + $ 1tax) which tasted wonderful, had a great pull, and lasted us a really long time without getting harsh. The servers are so nice and attentive, they kept checking up on us and made sure our coals were fine. The music and ambiance at this lounge is very middle eastern, and it was refreshing for a change. And a great plus is that you can bring food from outside! Definitely see myself coming back!

Authentic and affordable. It’s been a long time since I went somewhere and found hookahs for $ 10& under. It’s nice to be in a setting where everything is just chill. The wait staff collectively do a great job of looking after the customers. A guy comes around every few minutes to replace the coals. The seating arrangements are nice, good for groups. Overall, this is what I would have in mind if I wanted to get a good smoke session in — a nice cup of coffee or tea in hand, maybe a little bite to eat, and some good hookah. You won’t be breaking the bank here, but you’ll be getting a great experience!

My go to spot on Steinway– actually in queens. Good flavors, best service and cheap prices! Can’t go wrong here.

The service was great, you get multiple refills, good flavors at an affordable price way better than many places in Manhattan which overprice for refills that don’t even last 10 mins… The ambience is calm I would say is the type of place one goes to just relax and in terms of entertainment all they play is Arabic music & the menu doesn’t include alcoholic beverages, just tea, juice etc but if you want to try something different why not give it a shot.

Horrible service. Nosy workers. Disgusting hookah. Had to make them change it 3 times and still tasted bad. Wouldn’t recommend anybody to go there. DONTEVENTHINKABOUTIT

Great lounge, just dark enough, loud enough, felt so comfy I wanted to fall asleep on comfy couches. Largely older men. cash only.

I had a lovely experience at this establishment. My boyfriend and I decided to stop by after reading wonderful Unilocal reviews. The staff is very attentive and come around frequently to make sure you are satisfied with your service and coals. We had the ‘jasmin mix’ hookah which was very pleasant and smooth. I ordered a red tea which had fresh mint leaves in it(absolutely delightful). The music and ambiance was fun and fresh. They played a variety of different genres; a little bit of something for everyone to jam to. I also noticed how friendly the staff was with all the clients that came in which shows that they appreciate their customers.

I had a lovely time here. Came by on NYE’s eve. haha It was nice. Very chill. Many people come here by themselves to literally just chill. The server was a sweetheart and came by several times to check if everything was alright and if we needed anything. He seemed really happy with his job. He was incredibly nice. We had the mint, then watermelon. The mint was good, not the most flavourful, but pretty smooth and it lasted for a while. I think the watermelon one was kind of harsh, but it tasted like a jolly rancher. The prices are great. Regular flavors are $ 9. The seats were comfortable and the restrooms were clean. Very good for groups and lingering there for hours. You can bring your own food which I thought was generous, but we ordered baklava in the house and it was actually not bad for the price($ 3). Nothing to complain about. I think I’d come back if I’m in the area. The service was excellent.

I don’t mean to throw some shade on the reviewer who said Horus was the best but… what? Jasmin serves up pretty good hookah as far as lounges go. They really do need to stay on top of cleaning their hookahs. And their current leather hoses should be replaced with new ones because they’re getting rusty(you can’t wash leather hoses btw folks). And I would love to see them replace those typical Mya hoses with some better washable hoses but that that’s not gonna happen. It does get 3 stars for serving up consistent bowls. The lounge itself has a very relaxing vibe to it. You could literally kill hours here just smoking some grapemint and sip on some mint tea while pwning in backgammon. Now, if you want the best hookah… just buy your own pipe, hose, bowl(get a phunnel bowl), your favorite tobacco brand and learn how to pack a proper bowl. Hookah lounges in Manhattan are rip offs. It doesn’t cost them any more than it does for Jasmin or any other lounge in astoria to pack a bowl. They over charge the customer simply because they can(and rent is crazy expensive). No hookah should be more than $ 10. It’s not like hookah lounges in NY have kept up with how the hookah industry has changed anyway. They still use the same old egyptians bowls(dont get me wrong, those work like a charm but phunnels are better for super juicy tobacco) same overhyped tobacco brands and flavors, Anyways I’ll end my rant by saying Jasmin is a solid place if you’re looking for a relaxing smoke session without breaking the bank or being surrounded by teenagers dancing to shitty music while hoovering their blue mist in a pineapple.

This is my boyfriend and I goto chill spot. The hookah never fails us and Osama, the worker, always make sure the hookah we get is on point each time we are here. Jasmin is probably the most cheapest and the bestest hookah on Steinway or maybe even in New York in general. Every workers here are so friendly and make you feel very welcomed at any time.

2.5 stars. Better than average hookah here, service was fine and the hookah was packed well but it became obvious it hadn’t been cleaned, and kept getting really harsh. I hate how so many hookah places won’t take the effort to clean their hoses and pipes. Even if they change out the water all that dust and ash(and germs from the last person) is still in the hose. Stop being lazy and clean your hoses properly its really not that hard.

I’m not trying to throw shade on Jasmin, especially since it’s clear that it is a local sheesha spot. However, I am disappointed in my fellow Unilocalers because this is NOT the greatest sheesha… it’s an every day run o’ the mill type of spot. The sheesha is fine, but in no way packed with flavor and smooth. My throat ached after about 20 minutes. We asked the server for his rec for the best sheesha. He brought out a flavor that he said was not on the menu but was«the best» and we had it served in a pineapple. It was just o.k. It does not even hold a candle to the«Horus Special» at Horus Café on A in Alphabet City — that is the supreme sheesha in NYC — still. to. this. day.

I know absolutely nothing about Hookah — but my cousin is an expert. He swore that the hookah here was the best he had. That says a lot! The service was phenomenal. Every staff member you meet introduces themselves with a handshake. My first time here they acted as if I’ve been coming for years and I’ve been their best customer — truly amazing. I highly recommend the Egyptian /Arab coffee. It’s very different than American coffee(they’ll give you a whole lecture on how bad American coffee is haha) and if you’re open to trying new things you just might enjoy it! I was definitely hesitant to try a place that has a sign naming themselves the«Best Hookah in NY» but seems they deserve it. I’ll be back!

This place is really excellent. It has a nice vibe, and their fresh fruit hookahs are some of the best in the neighborhood. I really like the pineapple fresh fruit with mint. The staff is nice and very attentive. There’s loud music playing in the background and TVs all over. It’s a great place to relax and chill with some friends.

I came here last night with 6 of my friends looking to unwind and get some hookah and juice. Jasmin’s is known for it’s very reasonably priced menu, and overall quality. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted by the owner, a very nice and polite gentleman. We asked to sit in the back(outdoor area) and were kindly escorted to our table. We each ordered our own hookah, and a mango juice, which was made fresh by the way. I could still taste the pulp and instantly knew it wasn’t from concentrate. I ordered a shawarma and french fries as well, and was crossing my fingers that it would be good. My hookah came out first(Grape Mint) and the coals were absolutely perfect. It pulled very nice, even, and smooth. Every pull was nice and clean, and the pipe and inner workings were very clear. There are places that never bother to even clean their sheeshas, not Jasmin. After about 10 minutes my shawarma came out. I made the right decision. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly and was super authentic. There’s a bunch of interpretations of shawarmas in New York, the majority of which suck. I really can’t stress how annoying it is when you order a shawarma and they bring you out a gyro. This wasn’t the issue here. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great; I will definitely be back soon!

where to start, there is so many things i like about this place and then there are things i don’t like. This place is for you if planning on coming regular customer. thing its best if i just do «likes and Dislikes» list LIKES — if you are fan of soccer then this is the place to be! NOTE: you need to come early at least 2 or 3 hours before the game to hold your seat because it gets crowed. — Most of the hookah are really good, smooth with thick puff of smoke, and tasteful flavor. — they have backyard for those summer day/nights you want sit outside and smoke hookah DISLIKE — in the winter time its always cold so if you plan on going during cold weather do have layers of clothing. — If you’re not a regular customer and you come in during rush hour the chances are you are invisible to staff, you maybe standing or waiting for someone to come over for a while. And most of nights its crowed — Its sometime so crowed that you literally elbowing the person next to you. — the panmasala hookah is crap and it will cost 25 bucks so dont get it. Tip: try raspberry, orange and little mint mix in fresh orange. or grape, cherry and orange mix. your welcome

Best hookah in astoria. I ordered sahlab(Egyptian hot drink) they make it the traditional way. It tastes great and warms in a cold weather day.
