This place is wonderful. Really good fast Chinese food and good prices, especially the lunch specials.

If I could give this business less than one star, I would. I ordered their chicken and broccoli Sunday night, and woke up in a night mare. Threw up everything, was nauseas and weak the whole entire day. Turns out I had food poisoning. Worst feeling ever. This was my first time in years ever feeling this way, and I’ll never order from this location again. BEWARE!

Place is ok. Food is ok. Service is ok. But they lack giving you enough soy sauce when u have placed a big order. Good place to grab a quick bite. But make sure they give you a fork.

One of those take out restaurants that you know is going to have some greasy ass Chinese food. I was surprised because it was actually very good and not so heavy on the grease. This place is worth a stop of you crave Chinese food.

As a native Chinese who happens to be the area for a month, I’ve already ordered three times at this place in the past 10 days, which explains something for sure. This is one of the better American Chinese food I’ve had in the States.

You know you order there too much when they know to call you instead of ringing your doorbell so your dogs don’t bark. Great food! Great service, quick delivery.

This is my take out Chinese place. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
What can I say, everything here is pretty good, the people are nice, the prices are fair.
Ever since moving to Astoria I have never had the need to find another take out Chinese place.
In short, this is a great spot to order from.

I really miss living next door to this place. Solid Chinese food at extremely reasonable prices. The shrimp dumplings here are my fave!

My favorite Chinese take-​out place. The delivery is fast and reliable, the food is top-​notch for Chinese take-​out, and the prices are very cheap. They have the best hot-​and-​sour soup and wonton soup, delicious sautéed dishes like Szechuan chicken/​beef and chicken/​beef with broccoli, tasty fried rice, and my girlfriend loves the steamed chicken and broccoli. The staff is always nice and they speak English well enough that I’ve always had pleasant interactions with them and never an incorrect order.
King’s Chef is the best Chinese take-​out in the area. If you go anyplace else, you should give this place a shot — I’ve tried a bunch and King’s Chef is my favorite by far.

The shrimp dumplings are some of the freshest tasting I have ever had from a neighborhood place! And the garlic sauce is actually spicy without asking… so happy its 1.5 blocks away! I’m always greeted promptly and with enthusiasm. Great people.

This is my go to chinese place in Astoria, and I have tried just about all of them. Luckily I live just a few blocks away. The vegetarian options are great and the crab rangoon is amazing. The restaurant itself is small with just a table or two. More of a take out joint.
Added bonus, the little lady that runs the place is so sweet! I always get amazing service here.

I highly recommend this place. The moment you come you are warmly greeted and they are very attentive. The total was 15.60 and I realized I only had 15 and she was so nice in saying it was ok. The shrimp dumplings were delicious I am glad to have this place so close by!

I’m definitely a return customer. Didn’t know what to expect from the looks of the place (typical take out) but the food was definitely good and tasted fresh.

Overall their food is good and service is great. I remember the egg rolls to be a lot better I ordered them 2 days ago and they seemed too oily and plain. Otherwise I would always order from here my usual boneless spare ribs with pork fried rice.

When one moves to a new area, its common knowledge that the two most important things are to find good pizza and good chinese take out… IMMEDIATELY!
Luckily, I didn’t have to search long to find King’s Chef, or to swear my loyalty to it. The first two times I had the shrimp with garlic sauce and it was delicious. The shrimp was fresh, not fishy and the garlic sauce was some of the best I’ve ever had.
Please note, I was on a pescatarian diet when I tried this, and my normal Chinese food standbys are usually General Tso’s Chicken, Sesame Chicken, or Boneless Spare Ribs. The fact that they impressed me with something I wouldn’t normally order sealed the deal for me.
Other items of note, incredibly friendly and fast service, and they actually ask you if you want any sauce packets rather than indiscriminately throwing them in your bag, leaving the sauce packets to laungish in your fridge or cubbard eternally.
