This is like a little bodega /mom n’ pop grocery that’s two blocks from my house. This great little place saved me the hassle of walking out to 21st street and broadway to hit up the big supermarkets so I was very pleased with them. All in all, given their size they really do carry the essentials that you might need at reasonable prices. I think they’re a great neighborhood grocery and people should know about them so here we are. I was having some family members over for dinner in honor of my cousin’s last day in the city and I needed olive oil, italian bread, and stuffing. This place had all three plus I noticed they carried Boar’s head deli meat, different types of soups and cereals, dinner meats like chicken and pork chops, and cleaning supplies plus *some* fresh produce. If you live in the area this should be your go-to place if you need a little something to make yourself dinner and can’t be bothered to go out to the main drag by Broadway. Give the place a tray! It worked really well for my needs.

Kent P. and I have discussed our love for this place. I like to try out my Spanish when I go but they always answer me back in English. I’m sucha gringa. They’re open late and have a ton of essentials. And by essentials I mean Four Loko, smokes, Red Bull(small and large cans woop!), ice cream and sorbet. I haven’t tried the homemade food nor purchased any of the meat. I’m worried they don’t have the proper cooling/heating equipment. Jeez I am sucha gringa.

Hands down… the best bodega I’ve ever been to. It’s small. Super cramped, you’ll bump into EVERYONE. Funny story: I bumped into a drunk, he called a ‘huevon’, I got in his face til he shut up and left, although my adrenaline and heart rate didn’t lower for two hours and I kept feeling like I should’ve wrecked him… I’m glad the teachings of Our Savior kept us both in good health… good for my conscience too. Anywayyy… I’ve been going there for about 2 months now, it’s quickly replaced Emerly as my go to place. Emerly is closer, but the extra minute spent walking is soooo worth it. They take credit cards w/o a minimum [but there’s a 40 cent charge, totally worth it]. They have a daily menu of the food. And the food is GOOOOOOD. Oh man, braised /stewed steak, pork chops & chicken, roast pork, shrimp soup, sandwiches. They have fresh meat, fresh fruit… I bought a bag of grapes and it was better quality than the fruit stands, I just love the spot man…
