So my wife (who is Puerto Rican) somehow convinced me (the whitest dancer you know) to learn salsa for our wedding. Our initial plan was to take classes for a few months so that I could at least learn to spin her around a bit and do some serviceable footwork. And then we met Israel…
I can honestly say that our salsa routine VASTLY exceeded everyone’s expectations at our wedding, including some of the Puerto Rican folks who had been dancing salsa all of their lives. My parents were practically in shock, as were several of my friends.
If you want to learn how to dance salsa, or have a professional personally choreograph your wedding routine, Israel and his team are an outstanding option.

My wife and I wanted to do a little something for our first dance at our wedding. Neither of us are dancers but we didn’t want to just do the «high school sway.»
We wound up taking lessons at 3 different studios from 5 different instructors, We like this place best.
Yes, what some of the other reviews have said is true, a little unprofessional, sometimes we’d have our lesson cancelled suddenly the night before. But we built in plenty of time, and they were always friendly, no big deal.
Ernesto is the man, if you’re getting married, get him.

Be careful, I’m beginning to think that the positive reviews are just from friends.
This place is
1. Unprofessional — often late for appointments and certain instructors are clearly unqualified
2 scary — once you get on their email list they never stop harassing you, no matter how often you asked to be removed — think about your privacy before working with them

My husband and I took dance classes here to prepare for our wedding. The classes were serviceable. The problem occurred well afterwards, when we had long since been married. They kept on sending us emails and would not stop no matter how many times we asked them to. We called and emailed and they just didn’t get it. In my opinion, it’s pretty unprofessional to keep on harassing people who have made it clear they are no longer interested in your services.

I hate writing negative reviews but at this point I feel as if I have no recourse.
My wife and I took a few dance lessons about a year and a half ago in preparation for our wedding.
The lessons were adequate if slightly unpolished and amateurish.
The problems started shortly after the wedding. We repeatedly asked to be removed from their phone lists and email lists. It literally took months before they removed us from their list. I must have called at least 5 times and left numerous messages. I was continually reassured that they would address the issue. IT TOOK MONTHS!
finally, about a year ago we stopped getting notices about upcoming dance parties. Until recently. All of a sudden it started again. My patience had been completely worn down. We don’t even live in the area any longer.
I warn everyone– think twice before giving them your business, much less your personal information. They are worse than spammers!

Do you want to learn to dance? I don’t mean take some group lessons and muddle through with your significant other. I mean learn.
Israel and his staff teach dance. They’re not there to just collect a pay check. They really teach you. Some people balk at the price, but you should consider it a community college or college level dance instruction.
I’ve been working with Israel for a couple of years now I can salsa, foxtrot, hustle and pop ‘n’ lock. I even got the moonwalk down now.
If you want to dance with confidence, take a lesson from Israel or any of his fine instructors. You won’t be disappointed.

Also kid friendly. What he and his staff can get kids to do is amazing. I wish I had something like this studio when I was a kid. Maybe I wouldn’t have felt so awkward in high school.

Awesome studio, great space. The instructors are extremely grounded in their work and give you the foundation you need to take your dancing to the next level. This place is quality, I’ve danced all over the city and this place cleaned my steps up in an hr. Highly Recommended!

Tiny little place on the verge of falling apart. For the money you pay, he should do some renovations. There has to better dance studios around.
