Painful. We were the only ones here, yet service was still poor. I mean i loved it for it’s badness and my meal wasn’t terrible. but if you don’t enjoy the humor is a bad dining experience– this is not the place for you. Our waitress was clad in a Victoria secret sweat suit with the words«pink» on her behind in glitter. the bread 0 we had to ask for it — it was not offered. and while it was piping hot, it was clearly microwaved. the music — oh the music. the entire soundtrack, which consisting of 10 songs i believe, much have looped like 3 times. I mean i love soft rock circa 1986, but how much can one take.

Time to change my review. Yesterday was the 2nd time I have been here since the name change and things were very different. The menu has changed and so have the cooks plus they raised their prices and the food doesn’t really warrant this as you will read. They do not have the salad that my wife and I would share all the time and they didnt have the pasta dish that was my wife’s favorite. I ordered stuffed pepper and my wife ordered grilled salmon. They tasted ok not as good as it used to be, but there was one problem with both our dishes. Garlic, lots an lots of garlic. Every bite had a piece of garlic in it. It was so much that i had to pick the garlic out and put it aside. I’d say I accumuated about 2 full cloves of garlic and ate another half. There was also really loud euro music playing and it didnt sound like Italian. I don’t know what has happened to the place but it is a shame because we had really liked it when it was Amici Amore.

I’m writing my first Unilocal review after my first meal at Momento(it was so good, I felt compelled to broadcast it). We were confused when we arrived because we made reservations at Amici Amore 1, but as it turns out, they changed the name back in May when they closed the steakhouse side of the restaurant. We were seated in the very dimly lit front dining room, and were romanced by the wait staff from the start. We were recommended a great bottle of red wine(less expensive than the one I was going to choose) and it was a perfect match to our meal. For an appetizer, we ordered the Brushetta, and to our delight, it was on the house! For an entrée, my date ordered the Osso Buco Con Risotto, and I had the Spinach Ravioli with Marinara(special). Both were outstanding. It’s surprising when something as simple as ravioli can be so great when it’s prepared well(and I just loved the fresh cubed mozzarella on top). We finished our meal with the Tiramisu & Chocolate Mousse Cake, and as was the case with every other part of the meal, it was top notch. Our bill was a modest $ 87, so that also contributed to my positive experience at Momento. My only criticism is that the lighting may have been too dim. In any event, I hope to see this restaurant thrive because it improves the neighborhood.

Dont go to this place, it resides in one of the dirtiest buildings in Astoria. Pistilli Realty is run by a slum lord. Tenants in the building have every nasty problem you can think of… Im sure it travels down to the kitchen of the first floor.

It’s a nice little romantic place, and I really getting into the crooning lounge music they played, but it seemed seemed a bit pricey by Astoria standards for the quality of food. Not bad by any means. I would think it would be a reliable, but forgettable place to take a date if you wanted some Italian food in Astoria.

Great little Italian place in Astoria, right off the Astoria Blvd stop on the N, W line. It’s a cute corner space with lots of windows and lights up for the holidays. It’s very romantic and a little upscale, although you’d feel comfortable in casual clothes. The service was excellent(there were musicians to boot), and the food was good. I’d go again for sure.
