My wife and I moved to Astoria and the most important thing was getting a dog walker for our Abby. At first we used a dog walker that lived in our building bc it was easy. Then we were introduced to James and he was above and beyond better than our previous walker. Our dog is very wary of new people, but this wasn’t the case with James. Our dog loved him right away. We also used James for dog sitting and would highly recommend him and Queens Pooch to anyone.

We got our first puppy, a 12-​week old golden retriever and were typical first time pet parents — nervous about leaving her home all day, wanting her to be safe and happy, and making sure she was with someone who takes care of her like we do. James (and now Steph too!) helped put us at ease immediately, always being reliable, available, flexible and sending us complete detailed updates of Lucy and her walk (complete with pictures!). They are an important part of our day-​to-​day life and we would highly recommend Queens Pooch!

On time and communicative, Queens Pooch has been wonderful to my dog. They have been flexible with my schedule and send me a text and a picture of my dog during the walk. I would highly recommend hiring them.

I moved to the neighborhood from Manhattan and one of my biggest concerns was finding someone who cared about my pooch like her former walker. I conducted an EXHAUSTIVE search of dog walkers for Marcy, my sometimes leash reactive 18 pound mini-​schnauzer.
When James met Marcy for the first time, they totally hit it off, and he gave me the confidence that not only my dog, but also my stuff would be safe (I mean, you’re letting a stranger into your home). Keep in mind my dog can be freaked out by men and some strangers.
When I come home my usual hyperactive pup, is mellow and cool which indicates not only that she was taken outside, but he tuckered her out from a good walk. On days when she’s particularly rambunctious he’ll throw in some extra time with her. I work in a job where unexpected late nights can be the norm, and both he and his partner Stephanie have come to the rescue and with as little as 1 – 2 hours notice to walk Marcy.
Not only is James amazing, but his partner Stephanie rocks too! I was walking in the neighborhood and Marcy runs up to this woman whom I didn’t initally recognize– turns out it was Stephanie! Marcy gave Stephanie such a welcome, that my sister who takes care of my dog on occasion said that she has never seen my dog that happy to see someone before– including her! My doorman even comments on how obvious it is that they love Marcy!
James & Stephanie are true dog lovers, awesome walkers and are just good people. They should be the norm that all dog walkers are held to.

To be honest, I consider James part of the family. He has seriously gone above and beyond for our little fur-​babies.
For instance when Bruce (our wide eyed 8yo sweet overweight cat) decided to stop peeing and begin whimpering in the corner the day before our wedding/​honeymoon; James became our own personal pet nurse, with vet visits and drug administration. He nursed our big guy back to health and was nothing but supportive and helpful with the less than optimal situation.
Our other kitty fur bottom, Sass, with her 22 experienced years on earth, is a great judge of character and the most excited to see her food bringing, belly rubbing friend, James.

James is very delightful to deal with and always very flexible in his services. He is an animal lover and has created a good bond with my dog. His follow up after every walk is very unique as it informs me of what they did as well as my pets behavior.
