Came across this place and was shockingly good. I ordered the chicken samosas and it was really good. It taste fresh and I ate it immediately when it was hot. Definitely coming back again.

Excessively fresh food. Everything tastes homemade. There’s a bit of a wait time for your food to be ready so call in your order ahead of time in order to make it a quick transaction. It’s interesting to see how frequently regular customers walk into the kitchen to offer the chef their greetings. Defintely a friendly place. I’ve had potato samosas and chicken kathi rolls so far. I have no reference point for samosas being this good, legitimate spice with great accompanied sauce, no samosas I’ve tasted compared. Very good deal at(4) for $ 3.50. The Kathi roll is a hefty amount of food for less than $ 10, I have a large appetite and it always satisfies. Although I’m tempted to eat in, there’s really not much space to depend on if you planned to eat in(two tables). Overall I can’t wait to try the whole menu, I’m excited by a place willing to cook spicy food.

The food is great! It looks small in portion at first, but in the end you’ll feel pretty full. Their lamb curry is my favorite and is actually spicy, especially if you ask for extra spicy. I can eat chillies raw, but their lamb curry ordered extra spicy makes me sweat and pant. I love it and I’m addicted to it. Their naans and rotis are well made and go great with the curry sauces. Their samosas are pretty good too, albeit a little oily. Overall you get Jackson Heights quality, with the convenience of Astoria. However, I am leaving this 2 star review because their delivery service is absolutely abysmal. As I type this review, I am still waiting for my food for over an Hour and 30 minutes now. Please note, they’re literally 1 block from my house! This is unacceptable. To put the final nail in the coffin, they don’t even include forks, spoons, and napkins for pickup /delivery. I’ll change this review once I see they got a second delivery guy, or improved their delivery time overall. Heck, I’ll even raise it a star if they just include a fork next time!

Delivery took 2 hours and I paid 10.99 for a meal that is the size of an appetizer. My drinks were warm when they got here and my bread cold. Never again.

They have good samosas and its better than the ones you get in curry hill. I have also got the malai kofta and other gravies. My only –ve is when they deliver, the food container they use is made of cheap plastic :(

I am giving the rating only for the quality of the food. The food is good, however their service needs a lot of improvement. They take forever to get the food even if you are the only customer in the place

This place is a bit hidden under the train on 31st between 35th and 36th. Samosa Bites has some of the best Indian food in Astoria. The Chicken Tika Masala is fabulous. I also recommend the Chicken samosas. Price and portion sizes are just right.

Some of the best samosa I’ve ever had. The chicken and spinach are lit!

Okay yeah… so I’m South Asian-American, thus naturally critical of such businesses. I placed my order through seamless in advance. Arrived half an hour later and had to wait another 40 minutes. Service is really lacking and no communication while I was the only sitting and waiting in this joint is very unappealing. On to the food… ordered the aloo naan and the chicken kati roll. Both lacked flavor and seasoning. While the portions are fine, the utter absence of tlc for the food and non-existent customer service left a lot to be desired. You can go to Jackson Heights, Jersey City or Edison for more authentic, better tasting food for much less!

I’ve been on a samosa kick since trying some good ones from a cart near my apartment so when I saw this place I had to give them a try. Storefront is simplistic, and clean. Great start. The gentlemen running the counter are helpful and informative. We tried the chicken, and the potato samosas. They were phenomenal. Flavorful, crispy, and not too oily. I am hoping they will open a location by my place.

A small and new spot in the Astoria neighborhood, Samosaa Bites is more of a take out kind of place. On their menu are paranthas, curries, chats n tandoor dishes. We had their Paneer chili parantha which was served with pickle and curd. It was ok and very home like which is one thing you don’t want at a restaurant!

My go-to for Indian takeout. Best part: they deliver to Roosevelt Island. Their paneer tikka masala is the bomb, creamy and smooth although it could go spicier. The samosas are delish, as well and the the aloo naan is perfect for the whole setup. The mango lassi is a favorite as well although it’s not as thick as I prefer.

So we have this friend, who we will call Rocco. He is quite the skeptic when it comes to Indian food. Having only tried it once(and not been crazy about it) we convinced him to order from Samossa Bites, which had been recommended to us by our chic coworker. We ordered a variety of dishes — samossas, veggie curry, and tandoori chicken. When the host told us the delivery would take over an hour, Rocco was less than pleased and asked for tacos. We convinced him it would be worth the wait… and boy was it! The food came in under an hour and was piping hot and fresh. The samossas were crisp, the chicken tender, and the curry extra stewy. Just the way we like it. This food rocked Rocco’s world and changed his views on Indian food forever. Thanks Samossa Bites. We will be back.

Nice tiny dine in, pretty cozy though. My order of samosa, chicken tandoori and garlic naan satisfied my taste bud, my girl friend like their samosa better. Will come back to try some other dishes next time.

Tiny restaurant with an extensive menu. We ordered chicken samosas and they were awesome. They were a perfect crisp texture and not too oily. We also ordered chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala kathi roll, paneer kathi roll and garlic naan. Overall the food was good with the only minor complaint was that the chicken tikka felt cold and flavors were more on the sweet side. I would order delivery from here since there is not much seating. When we were there they were installing their new lcd TV menus. Nice to see they are making improvements.

Yes! Indian a mere three blocks away! And one that has peshwari naan, my favorite! I also got the chicken tikka masala which was very sweet which looks like is a common complaint. But The veggie samosas are solid and I love dousing them in that sweet brown sauce. There menu is extensive and I can’t wait to try more dishes!

There are better options out there for Indian food, but none that deliver to us. So hence this place is a standby. The delivery is so incredibly spotty. Sometimes they take nearly two hours, and sometimes they’re super fast. The food is on the heavy, oily side, and they are cheap with the portions. Lamb korma comes with five parts sauce/one part lamb ratio. Very cheap. And it’s not inexpensive either. No condiments offered even if you specify.

My rating mostly stems from the delivery guy. He was really nice. If he ever reads this: I’m sorry I only gave you a two dollar tip. The food: Oh. My. Gross! I was craving soup but I wanted something totally different from the tired old lemon orzo this neighborhood produces in massive vats. I was craving a great mulligatawny but I could not find a place that would a. deliver or b. have it online via /seamless. So I settled for this place and what was going to be the safest of all soups: Lentil and Chicken. Both were gross. The chicken soup was pure broth with random chunks of chicken in it and the broth was basically warm lemon water. The lentil was bright yellow and was a lemon and ginger purée. No spice, not flavor, nothing. Just revolting. I ordered also two jumbo samosas and the inside filling looked grey. It tasted alright but it was definitely not what I was accustomed to as samosas go. I added garlic naan to the order to serve as the side for my soup and it was just parsley. It didn’t even tasted like there was any garlic in there. I just tasted parsley. I always order mulligatawny soup from Indian joints and i am surprised this place didn’t have it. Then on the bright side, I can still enjoy a bowl in the future but I am totally off of any chicken, lentil or even the taste of lemons for that matter, for a really long time. I suggest Seva(my fav which no longer delivers to my locations(BOO on you SEVA!) or Nameste(which wasn’t on and I had 20% for that day) For the owners of this place, I suggest looking over Seva’s or Namaste’s menu and just copy it. Let’s not think out of the box here. You tried and it is horrible.

The dishes ranged from bad to average. Some of the dishes are not authentic. Delivery was prompt. There are many better Indian restaurants within a mile radius then this one. Won’t try again.

Pretty good food. This place is small but looks and feels clean! Food was good, my first time here and wasn’t disappointed.
