Excellent spot for good drinks and solid food. A fun relaxed crowd of folks that want to bring it on without the ridiculousness of the Manhattan bars. And definitely don’t miss a round of Mario Bros on the Nintendo at the bar.

Very cute and comfy cocktail bar. Been there a few times now and I like it more and more. The hot toddy that they put in the old school Greek coffee cups is delicious and hilarious. I also like to munch on the chips and the Jinny cheese. The beer cheese and warm pretzel bread is such a good combo with any of the cocktails. If you haven’t been here definitely a new place to check out. Great addition to the neighborhood. I’m definitely coming back.

Cool new spot! Bartenders are really friendly and the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely have to come back on a weekend and check out the scene.

I’m so happy about this new addition to the otherwise stale bar scene of Astoria. The ditty is a place to have a good and have a cool and unpretentious beer or drink with cool people. Great music selection and a vibe that is difficult to find in other Astoria bars. Definitely try the fried chicken basket along with some Buchwick pils beer.

Was here during Snowpocolypse ’16 and what a reward for the 3 block trek through the snow. Drinks are strong, there is a stack of board games to choose from, and the ambience is nice. I’m not from the city so I’m not sure if the board game thing is common around here, but I thought it was an awesome idea and livens the atmosphere.

IDK who the new chef is but booooo to the new snacks. Pork Pastellitos now drowned in sauce. Shrimp tacos not really cooked. Tortilla not heated properly, shrimp appeared microwaved and cheese was like a cold cream cheese. Worst shrimp taco ever. Got to listen to the back door open and slam closed whole time I was there and froze me and my friend out until we finally left. Would have loved to stay and enjoy more food but was scared to eat anything else and we’re way to cold. I am bummed. I really liked this place last month when I last visited. At least they have the fun games! And the staff is really nice!

I live in Astoria and there are not a lot of bars but this addition is welcomed to say the least. They have video games, board games, and fun old school hip hop. The bar has a fun food menu. The pastelitos are fantastic! The fried chicken is nice and crispy seasoned perfectly with a touch of honey. My new favorite drink is the Head Hancho. It’s made with Tequila and Mezcal with hibiscus. So yummy and refreshing. Huge fan going to make this my regular spot!

It was Martin Luther King day So after I did laund-ray We went to the Dit-tay For food, drinks and games, haay. That was a ditty about the Ditty. But you’d probably rather read about the food, drinks and ambience here than a stupid poem about what I did with my time last Monday. Which is fair. As other reviews have mentioned, both the drink and food menu here are small and seem to have been carefully curated. I didn’t expect for it to happen, but I was actually a bigger fan of the food than the cocktails. The fried chicken(buttermilk marinated with rosemary chili honey) was amazing, especially the sauce, and it was a pretty good amount of food for the $ 13. I tried two cocktails: the Head Hancho(tequila, mescal, and some type of chili syrup?) and the Game Time Gimlet(gin, grapefruit, lime). The hancho was pretty good — I love a good mescal cocktail and the addition of the chili was a nice touch, if not exactly groundbreaking mixology. The gimlet wasn’t much to my liking — too much sour citrus. But at $ 9 each, I really cannot complain. We sat at a table near the door on a particularly cold night, and it was pretty drafty. The Ditty should get one of those extra door things – you know what I’m talking about. I didn’t explore the place otherwise but it looked pretty small, but cute. I don’t like adding concluding sentences in my Unilocal reviews, so I might stop doing it.

Welcomed new addition to Ditmars. Cozy and warm in here, though it does seem very reminiscent of most of the new places in Ditmars area if that makes sense. Drinks were good and very friendly service. Reasonably priced. Can’t give it 5 stars bc I didn’t get to try the food. I’ll be back.

I trekked all the way out from Suffolk County to the Ditty for a friend’s birthday. It wasn’t busy when I arrived, but I still had a really hard time catching the attention of a bartender to get a drink. When I finally did, he insisted on opening a tab and holding my credit card, even though I would have preferred to pay cash as I go. I had an extremely hard time picking a drink, as they didn’t have very much aside from a few beers on tap — they didn’t have Bacardi, or any flavored anything. The ambiance was pretty cool — there were a few tables, and a nice tucked away booth. I ordered some food with friends — but the portions were super tiny and they didn’t have any of the usual bar food. I had the buffalo sliders, which I was fully expecting to be chicken, but turned out to be really fatty pork instead. The fried chicken basket was delicious, but it was bone-in, which was another surprise. We ended up leaving and walking to one of the pizzerias in the area, and after the fight to get a single drink(that was not good anyway), I didn’t bother getting any more. Finally, parking is difficult to find, as there’s no lots, and all street parking in a busy neighborhood.

Cozy little hip spot to grab a beer on ditmars– loved it. The bartenders could have been a bit more friendly. I would say the vibe was more inviting than some of the staff, which made this into a good experience. The cocktail sever was really friendly, and there were board games to play which is always a more welcome battle than, say. bar dice or debating politics! Overall, I’m excited to see places like this in the area.

On a brisk December eve, after one of the biggest days in the city I’ve ever had, my friend Brendan and I continued to attempt to do Monday the way Monday was intended to be done. First day of the week should always be the best day as a simple rule of thumb. I don’t know how anything could trump our afternoon experience at Bubba’s but The Ditty certainly came close, especially when journey began to play and our fellow patrons began to chant the chorus along with us! From the craft beer selection to the hip ambiance, this was going to be a pleasurable time from the beginning. We found our seats by the end of the bar and enjoyed the pleasurable company that it afforded us! We drank and were merry from there on out, sampling some of Astoria’s local fare and mingling with the folks that call this place home was truly an experience worth sharing with my friends.

Nice place. Semi intimate. They have classic Nintendo games there that you can play at the bar. Hot toddy was not my fav. Did not have a large menus or specialty drink selection

Nice cozy, speakeasy bar in Astoria. We stumbled upon this place after we put our name on the waiting list of Taverna Kyclades, which is just one-minute walk away from The Ditty. It was 5pm ish on Saturday, and the place was not busy yet. We got seated at the bar area and had two cocktails with beer cheese/pretzel bread. Cocktails were good; the cheese/pretzel bread was a bit disappointing. Food options are not extensive, though their price range is very reasonable(compared to bars in Manhattan).

**only for drinks** Love that this venue finally opened. The décor is rustic yet offers a cozy feeing. The space is fairly small and narrow so it could feel more crowded than it actually is. They support local breweries, offering over a handful of drafts and some bottled/canned beers. They only have a handful of signature cocktails but they all sound pretty good, covering standard liquors from gin to whiskey. I tried the Game Time Gimlet(gin, lime, grapefruit) and it was delicious. The bartenders were both Irish(who wouldn’t love that) and they’re super friendly. The kitchen is open until they close and they offer standard bar eats from pretzels to a fried chicken basket. I haven’t had their food yet but I’m looking forward to trying it soon.

Came here on opening night. Absolutely great service from Sarah, Steve, and Betty. They don’t let your glass sit empty! Open(bar and kitchen) until 4 am daily will make this place a late night gem! I’ll be back very soon!
