I’ve been going to Hot Yoga Atascadero for over 2 years and love the way I feel every time I walk out! As a mom and small business owner I don’t always have the luxury of working out everyday, as much as I try to squeeze in some form everyday. Hot yoga keeps me in shape, even if I’m only able to practice once a week. I know I can hop on my bike and take a 10 – 20 miles ride without a hitch or go for a long hike without being tired or sore. Thanks to the heat, I get a full cardio workout, maintain flexibility and the mental peace hot yoga provides keeps me going! They have a range of teachers, which keeps things from being stagnant from class to class. Whether you’re an experienced Yogi or a first timer, you should give the benefits of hot yoga at least 4 – 5 tries, before deciding it too hot, or not for you … otherwise you could be missing the greatest workout opportunity of your life! ~ Namaste

I’ve tried two hot yoga studios and this one is my favorite. The studio space is nice, and I never experienced a class that was too crowded. The air flow is good which I think is important in a hot yoga studio and I liked both instructors very much.

This style of yoga is not for everyone. I believe there are some benefits for those dealing with injuries that need the extra heat for flexibility. The heat is intense and I felt dizzy and nauseous at various times. I found the female instructor too militant and snappy, not what I want in a yoga teacher at all. The male instructor was much better and seemed to have more of the true spirit of yoga. The 30 days for $ 29 is a good deal for trying out hot yoga.

This place is amazing! I always feel so refreshed after taking a class. I have so far only gone in the mornings on weekdays. They are patient and will help you with the poses if you are a yoga beginner. I have already noticed myself becoming more flexible and toning muscle! Just be prepared for the heat and breath through your nose! This helps tremendously believe me! After the first couple times you will sweat but you wont notice the heat so much. Here are a few tips I found helpful for myself: –Bring a towel so you don’t slip on your yoga mat. I ended up purchasing a nice grippy Yogitoes skidless yoga mat towel. They have them there for sale. –Bring water(I like to mix my water with a little gatorade or something with electrolytes) –Don’t panic with the heat. Remember to relax. –Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to lay down if you feel yourself getting a little dizzy.(I only noticed this once with myself because I wasn’t breathing through my nose due to a head cold) This facility is very clean and their special flooring(I think it looks like thin spaghetti noodles) doesn’t retain any smell. You would think it would be smelly in a place where a bunch of people are sweating their butts off but surprisingly it is not at all. They have mens and womens showers and cubbies to put your things in. They also sell coconut and regular water. I highly recommend giving hot yoga a try! Its so nice to have this place in North County.
