Been here three times and tonight was the best. Fantastic food and phenomenal service. Will be back.

We don’t go anywhere else for sushi. Prices and selection can’t be beat. If you don’t know what to try, sit at the sushi bar and let them know what you like. If sushi’s not your thing, they have really good cooked options like teriyaki and noodles. Fish is always super fresh, staff is friendly and on top of things(attentive). We eat here at least twice a month, we’d go more often if we could. Love this place.

My boyfriend and I are both big sushi fans and have been to many different sushi joints. Toshi’s has the best selection, quality, and pricing that we’ve found.(We’ve tried Kai Lana and can’t understand the hype that surrounds them. Toshi’s is far superior in our opinion. There’s not a single roll that we’ve tried that we didn’t like.) There was recently a change with the staff for the better. The current staff members are incredibly friendly and personable.

I’ve been coming here for a couple years, and it’s great. As far as food goes, they have a few great deals. Lunch specials from 11 – 3 are so cheap. You can get a couple rolls, a roll and an appetizer or a bento box that comes with enough food to eat twice for less than an hour’s pay. I also particularly love that you can get ghost pepper sauce considering this is a town where restaurants serve salsa with no chiles or salt in it(tomato salad? wtf guys?). They also have daily specials that frequently include delicacies such as sweet shrimp and uni. Recently, one of the owners or managers passed. I loved the place before, but there have been some nice changes. The interior was de-cluttered and feels more spacious, the presentation of the appetizers and rolls is much improved, and the flavors have become more complex. I’ve only gotten through about half their menu, but I’m sure I’ll find more gems. Recommendations: –If you love spicy food have the heart attack appetizer. It’s chiles stuffed with awesomeness. –The baked green muscles are always fresh and so savory. –If you are a hedonist like I am and must have sweet/savory/smoky flavors throw a party in your mouth go for the rock ‘n roll. –If raw fish isn’t for you or you just want a hot meal, then I recommend the teriyaki salmon or chicken. The saucy, smoky meat on rice has never let me down when I just wanted a simple but hearty meal.

Best sushi place in Atascadero! Affordable, great service, but best of all great sushi! The staff is respectful and nice and we have always had a great experience with them. Our local go to sushi favorite! Thank you.

Talk about a skimpy meal! In a bento box, I got about 5 pieces of lettuce counting as my «salad», and no sauce on my chicken. The sunomono salad o got had no flavor, and the Blushing Dragon roll was not even made the way it says on the menu. For the $$$ we paid for this meal we were severely disappointed. the quality of food has declined greatly and it is sad to see that.

I’ve been here a few times over the last year or so. It’s good sushi, but I regard the price point a little too high for what you receive in quality and ambiance. You get dinged on price if you make any«extra» requests beyond stock menu. In general, portions are generous compared to other sushi restaurants. The waitress is always attentive. I also odered takeout, but noticed you have to tip minimum 15% due to their register/POS system setup.

I’ve gone through maybe 3 loyalty cards here so far. They have some of the most consistent and delicious rolls around. Great sushi in Atascadero? Yea. I know. It’s fantastic. The service is really nice and quick. It’s a small little shop but they seem to have plenty of room each time I’m in, be it two people or 5. Loads of roll options, fried, no-fried, rice, seaweed, cucumber, baked, or raw. Any combination you can think of. Stay away from the cream cheese rolls as they load that glop on there thick! Aside from that I can’t think of anything not to try. Miso and edemmae are good, but standard fare. Prices are reasonable and will not break the bank. 4 rolls will run you about $ 50, instead of the usual $ 60 at other spots. I can’t say it’s full on «As Good As It Gets» but to be fair, in A-Town this is right up there with Kai Lana.

We’ve been here twice. The first time, early 2015 was pretty good! We had a roll that had eel on top and these delicious peanut butter tempura crispies. Yum. Went there again this last Sunday and it wasn’t very good. Service was good, but the food was pretty lacking except the deep fried shrimp and crab avocado, THAT was pretty tasty. The other rolls we got were ok but nothing amazing. One of the rolls had an odd plasticy flavor that was pretty unappealing. Also noticed that the place could use a very good cleaning. The window sills and floors were pretty grimey. Probably won’t be back.

I haven’t tried them for dinner but their lunch specials are the best! The miso soup is probably the best around and got $ 11-$ 13 you come out stuffed.

Great food here, but terrible service. I am not sure if it was a one time thing but we had a waitress who took our drink order and when we proceeded to order we found out that she wasn’t going to be our waitress while the lady at the register told her it was«not her problem«to help us. The food was great. Then we were hit with flying salad. All over the table and Us. Overall good restaurant but service could improve

Great service. The girl working was very nice and recommended the Neptune roll which I thoroughly enjoyed. Don’t come to atown often but next time I’m here will definitely be back!

Pretty good sushi place! Service was interesting as all the waitresses were attending to us individually — seemed out of sync. Don’t order the jalapeño appetizers — it’s less that one jalapeño total and some pieces didn’t even have jalapeño. Otherwise, do recommend the restaurant!

Good food and decent service. I do have to say that I feel bad for the waitress because she was the only one serving for the whole restaurant. She did the best she could yet seemed very overwhelmed. The restaurant needs help! For food, I ordered the shrimp tempura and Atascadero roll. Both were good and satisfied my sushi cravings. My mom had a chicken bento box which was alright for the price. Overall 4 stars.

Not impressed at all. The three stars I give are solely for the service, which was friendly. They over pack the place with chairs and tables. I understand they’re trying to accommodate as many people as they can since it’s a small place and they need to maximize their earning potential, but it makes for a tight, narrow walk to and from your table. I had the beef teriyaki bowl, and it was absolute garbage. The rice was mushy and undercooked. The beef tasted like liver, which I despise. I’m no master chef or anything but I can honestly say that I could’ve made it a lot better at home — which I’ll do next time, rather than come here again.

I had to give this place only 3 stars cause even tho the food was really good, the service was lacking quite a bit. There was a small party of 8 and 1 man at the bar and i had to ask 4 times for a straw. There wasnt even a setting for me and had to wait for a while to get a napkin and soy sauce bowl. Mind you i asked 3 times for one also.
