Good burgers and fries. Cool and very small place. The peanut bacon burger sounds weird but is actually very good.

I had heard a lot about this place before I went there(mostly about their eccentric burger ingredients) so I had some expectations– mostly that I would get a big, juicy, melty and delicious burger! I have to say that these expectations were exceeded, although I will mention that I was starving by the time the burgers actually came out, so at that point I could have devoured anything and given it 4 stars. It was fairly crowded when we got there, but not anymore crowded than what you would expect for a Saturday night at 8. We had a 30 minute wait, which seemed to discourage some people but I was determined to get one of those burgers. And for good reason: I ordered the Blackberry Bacon Jam Burger and I was extremely impressed, I finished it in less than 10 minutes. The main reason I took off a star was that we ordered regular fries with cheese, and the cheese was literally just shredded cheese that had been melted but hardened onto the fries. It was really disappointing compared to the near-gourmet burger. Will definitely be sticking to just a burger next time.

Fun place. You have to order the Peanut Butter Bacon burger at least once in your life. It’s amazing. Also, its not on the menu but order Cajun tots. Down that with a sarsaparilla. You can thank me later. :) Atmosphere is fun. The owner is an old sci Fi movie nut. So he’s always playing some sci-fi movie you’ve never heard of but it’s fun to watch in the background. Wait times aren’t too bad here.

This place is located in downtown Athens. It looks vintage/hipster inside. If you’re looking for a more upscale burger place than McDonalds, then this is your place. The burgers are good with lots of variety. There are vegetarian and gluten-free options as well. It’s a good burger place for a city like Athens, but it isn’t the greatest burger place I have been to. It’s still worth a visit if you’re visiting Athens.

This place has a really cool vibe! The interior décor is vintage-y. They have many gluten free/vegetarian, etc. options on menu to meet every palate. During my most recent visit, I splurged on the peanut butter-bacon burger with sweet potato fries. As odd as that combo sounds, it was one of the most interesting burger combos I’ve EVER experienced! I cannot wait to return to try another unique burger! If you are in Athens, check this place out!

One of the best burgers in town, great salads, and veg options plus great atmosphere. The staff… Well are a bit snarky but I think it’s part of the atmosphere… They are kind of known for their not so great staff. But I eat where the awesome food is!!! And that my friend is clocked! Pb burger… Is amazing!!!

Simply put these are the best burgers in Athens. The staff is always insanely friendly and very welcoming. Have to say that décor wise, the epic Godzilla painting on the wall just makes me happy! I also love the variety of tasty sauces you can dip your fries in!

My burger had fresh jalapenos, red onions, cream cheese spread, lettuce, tomatoes, and i believe beets not raw. I got the wasabi-mayo and basil-jalapeño dipping sauces for my fries. The burger was really tasty, the sauces were good but the wasabi one was better. Old dinner feel and friendly staff. Reasonable price for the food.

Everything was perfect. My family and I went on Friday afternoon about 3pm. We found seats immediately. Our server brought menus and took our drink order. We ordered a regular burger, bacon cheeseburger, black bean burger, order of fries and order of onion rings. After about 8 minutes, The server brought the fries and onion rings, followed immediately by our burgers. Everything arrived hot and fresh. We will be back.

The food deserves a 4 star rating but the service is the factor that makes the rating fall. The burger I had was delicious to go along with the tater tots. It took them about 10 minutes to bring me a menu. After that another ten minutes to come come take my order. The drink came 5 minutes after I had place the order. So it took a total of 25 minutes to just get a drink. The food came out about 10 minutes after. I would understand it taking long if it would have been busy, it wasn’t. About half the restaurant was filled. They need to create a new system to attend their tables or maybe get new waiters, even though they were pretty nice to me. Like I have read in other review, I would recommend to take your food to go to have the best experience.

Just witnessed 2 customers walk in at 9:15 and ask when they close. The waitress responds«ugh, I mean we technically close at 10» with more attitude in her voice than is ever necessary in the costumer service industry. The couple then proceeded to shrug and walk out despite the restaurant still serving other customers inside. Everytime I’ve been here the food is great but the wait staff SUCKS. Very rude and act like they don’t wanna serve you despite being a server. Almost to the point of making customers uncomfortable while eating there. Definitely a take out place if you aren’t looking for attitude!

I always try to come here when the weathers nice because the patio seating at night is just so pleasant. The hanging lights and breeze just makes my burger experience much more enjoyable. Sat inside once and was pushing my chair against the other tables so get a booth if you can. I always get their clocked burger cause I’m boring and can’t bring myself to try anything else! I’m not a big burger fan but this just felt right. The patty and bun was just so juicy and that sauce pulled everything together. Can’t wait to come back since it’s so cheap and dinner for 2 is less than 20 $(without tip)

Best burgers and shakes in a casual, funky atmosphere. Authentic Athens. I’m here at least once a week if I can.

Every few years I give Clocked another shot, and every few years I leave a little frustrated. The service is stretched and slow, and there is usually something minor wrong with the order. Some condiment is missing, some topping is wrong, they ran out of a key ingredient in a menu item. The prices aren’t that high, but they’re not that low either. The food is fine, but nothing that wows me, and it doesn’t vindicate the experience for me. It’s definitely not the best that Athens has to offer.

I had the bacon and blue cheese burger and it was hands-down one of the best burgers I’ve had in a very long time. Very nicely seasoned, tender and cooked perfectly. The onion rings were very good, not greasy and a nice tempura type crust. French fries had a great potato taste and tasted fresh cut. Also, the lemonade was some of the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Cute eclectic retro setting and friendly wait staff. Will definitely make it a regular stop in Athens.

The bacon, egg and grilled cheese was amazing. The service was great and received food quickly. Old school funky atmosphere. Great stop on our road trip!

This is a cute little funky diner that is open late. First off, this isn’t a place for gourmet food, so I’m rating it based off of what one would except to get from a tiny diner that specializes in burgers and sandwiches. On my last visit I had them create me a grilled cheese from their gluten free bun. I asked for provolone and cheddar cheese, with tomato and honey mustard to dip it in. My boyfriend got a more traditional burger with cheese and bacon, but he also recommends the burger with peanut butter. We also split an order of fries. The food is perfect for what it is. Tasty and comfort food is what you should expect here. I also crave their lemonades. This is a great stop for a casual meal

This is my favorite burger place, and I generally hate eating burgers. The ratio of meat-bun-condiments-other toppings here is perfect for me(I hate when meat makes up more than 50% of my burger or when all I taste is meat). My favorite is the Friendship Burger. I’ve been here twice since becoming a vegetarian, and although I don’t think their veg options beat the burgers(which is a rare thing for me to say), I’m satisfied with the black bean burger and happy hummus. The black bean burger does taste really bean-y, which I don’t really dig, and the happy hummus tasted really vegetable-y, but I prefer that over the bean-y taste. I love their tots and sweet potato fries. I usually go during dinner, so the wait gets kind of long. The one time I had a milkshake(I think it was pumpkin pie?), I enjoyed it. The consistency was exactly how I like it: I could drink it through a straw without being forced to use a spoon, but it wasn’t watery. But not so amazing that it left me with any outstanding memory.

My review in a nutshell: eh. I had heard good things about Clocked, so I figured I’ll check it out finally. Walking in, I liked the diner-feel and artsy décor. Simple, small, and cute. We ordered the garlic Parmesan fries and hummus & chips to share, and both were tasty. The fries, however, were $ 3.25 for a small portion and really not anything special. If the fries are made in house, you can’t tell. The hummus and chips were good. For my entrée I got the regular burger with«fresh» jalapeños and an onion ring. They forgot the onion ring but brought it out very quickly once I mentioned it. The jalapeños, though not pickled, are not fresh. They are wilted, cooked, and not spicy at all. I was disappointed. Although the burger looked really good, it lacked flavor. The service was good but the waitress was stretched thin. Get her some help! I will not be going back. There are plenty of better places in Athens to get a better burger. Oh… and it’s not a diner — it’s a burger joint.

I love this place. I make my friends take me here every time I am in Athens. I love love love their burgers. Ever since I tried a Clocked burger no other burger can compare. For first timers I would really recommend their Friendship burger. It is simple but so yummy and satisfying. I recently tried their Ring of Fire burger, which was pretty good. I Always take advantage of the free add ons(caramelized onions and jalapeños) and never regret it. Their sweet potato fries are good, can’t go wrong with their tater tots either. I haven’t tried any of their other special sauces because I am so hooked on their Raspberry Habanero Ketchup! Not really on the ketchup side, but it really is amazing with anything you dip into it. I also tried their new Garlic Parmesan fries… holy crap. Those were AMAZING. You could taste the fresh garlic that was on top and you could see the grated parmesan. it was 100x better than I or any of my friends expected. It is a must try if you’re a garlic/parm fan! Love the service here and the atmosphere. Definitely will be back!
