Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Sat and waited 7 minutes before server approached. Three other couples in our area — not a busy time. Ordered coffee for two and our meals. Coffee arrived and the food didn’t appear until some time later with the order screwed up. «Sorry, new girl in the kitchen they’re training and she’s slow.» Do that prevented you from coming back and advising of a delay?
Order was fouled up. «I’ll be right back, that will only take four minutes to cook.» «No thanks, I’ll be done with this in less than that.» «I’ll bring it anyway.» «No, you won’t.»
Never saw the server again. If he would have manned up and tried to make amends I might have gone for it but he disappeared. I had to stand at the register and wait for him to be found to get my check.
Over/​undercooked food. Poor service. Too many apologies. Too many insincere children on brown aprons who should not be servers.

Always dependable for good food and service. Breakfast is my favorite. And I really like the selection of Country music.

Your typical chain Craker Barrel restaurant consistent food, good service, management seems to be on top of things and all the old fashioned shopping there usually is.

It’s Cracker Barrel, so you know what you’re getting before you usually pull into the parking lot. It’s the usual gift shop, and the usual restaurant layout. The staff are good, even when there is a big crowd like they get on weekend mornings.

Typical for this location, subpar food and service. If they say 20 minute wait it will probably be closer to an hour. Hostess was argumentative about name being on the list also. Rude is all I can say. No plans to return to this location!!!

I should preface my review by saying I have enjoyed many meals from Cracker Barrel before, just not this particular location. If someone insists on going, I’ll begrudgingly join, but I feel like there are always better options than this. Now for my novella review: My girlfriend and I called in an order because we were making an evening trek down to Tuscaloosa and was told it would be 15 – 20 minutes. We showed up 30 minutes later, and still had to wait 20 minutes for our food. For those of you that aren’t familiar with every single Cracker Barrel, waiting 20 minutes in the front ‘shop’ area is literally hell on earth. It’s a hoarder’s paradise. There is enough junk in here to fill a 1200 sq ft. store and its stuffed in a 20 foot room with tiny little paths that force you to walk heel-​toe single file through, and even then your elbows are touching both sides of the stacks of worthless knickknacks. I hate it. After shuffling around the devil’s playhouse for 20 minutes trying to stay out of the way, we finally received our mediocre meal and were ecstatic to have it and get out of here. The food was typical. However, my girlfriend ordered pancakes with pecans in them, and while they had pecans, and were pancakes; they definitely tasted like they had been rolled around on every other meal being prepared in that kitchen (probably cooked on a dirty grill or something). And the meager shot glass of syrup that was graciously provided did little to cover the odd taste. All in all, this was a sad display of everything from start to finish. If i was offered a coupon for a free meal here, I’d be tempted to set it on fire and I’d likely enjoy the three seconds of light and warmth more than anything they serve at this establishment.

Nice staff with great southern customer service. Food amongst all Cracker Barrel’s is getting worse for some reason. The best meal you can get is breakfast … Skip the grits and gravy as it isn’t very good; however, the bacon is fantastic. Before you leave, grab some buckeyes for the road — they are delicious.
