We enjoyed the flight of nine, focaccia pizza, and Athen’s ever present hot nuts(spicy cashews). The bar maid and Cameron, the brewmaster and owner, were great to talk to. We enjoyed the laid back, child free atmosphere. We had read that it was a little hard to see from the road, but our eyes were peeled for it! My favorite beer was the porter. I ordered a pint of it. It was super smooth. My enjoyed pint of the Oktoberbeast. Devil’s Kettle is a great addition to the Athens brew scene! We hope to see them on tap in Marietta.

A nice and different brewing addition to Athens. Cameron is making some outstanding examples of classic styles — a few with some clever twists. He’s done a nice job of having special events and food, so following Devil’s Kettle on social media is well worth your time. Columbus Road doesn’t provide the greatest atmosphere, but it’s cozy inside and there always seems to be at least a handful of nice people quaffing the tasty brew. It’s well worth the short trip from Uptown, especially for those of us who want to get away from that mess every now and then.

A place that makes beer has to do something really bad to get a low score with me! This new place is hard to see(no sign up yet thanks to the slow moving city council) but worth finding.(Across from Reuse, it is the old southeast imports car lot) The red ale was my favorite. Food truck was there yesterday, the Philippine cuisine tasted better than it looked! Parking is a bit tricky so don’t drink too much!
