Domino’s Pizza

As far as dominoes goes, they do a great job. They are fast, and the pizza is always good. They also are reasonably priced and always have specials and sales going on.

The pizza is usually quite good, but it’s been incredibly disappointing service the last few months. Twice our pizza has arrived cold, and this most recent time it arrived, but an item was left out, and when we called to ask if it can be sent back out again, the response was unfriendly and disinterested. The person who answered, «Dylan», I believe, said, «So, uh, do you want us to send it out again?» with a sigh and frustrated tone. Politely I asked if they could please send it back out, they agreed to send it out with the driver when he made deliveries again, and they said he would. 45 minutes passed and I called again, asking if we could expect the item. This time, the person who answered the phone, «Mike» or «Michael», apologized, explained there was a miscommunication, and offered to give us our item plus extra, as well as a free 2 liter. Upon arriving, the driver was unpleasant and «forgot» to give us the promised free 2 liter. We reminded him of it, he frowned and said, «Oh, yeah. The Coke.», sulked back to his car and brought it back, practically throwing it at us. Honestly, I’m kind of disgusted. This isn’t how to treat customers. I pride myself on being polite and gracious, even when I feel like I’m being screwed. But, despite all my politeness, we were treated disrespectfully by the driver and at least one person who answered the phone. It was really disappointing. We won’t be ordering Dominos in Athens again. It’s just not worth it at this point to pay for food, wait for food, call about food, wait again for food we paid for, and then be given attitude throughout the whole ordeal. No thanks, Dominos. We’ll take our pizza business to Village Pizza, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars, and Papa Johns.

Good, fast service. IMHO, Domino’s is always overpriced, but this location gives you a good quality pizza. (Much better than the Little Caesars across the street)
