My wife and I love this place but it was utter chaos tonight at the reception booth. We had to wait over 30 min after our reservation time. While waiting we observed tables that took 10min to get bussed and others that were set and sat empty while we stood with about 15 others in the waiting area to be seated. If you can’t go early, think about going somewhere else.

I got the student hibachi chicken and steak. I was very disappointed. The soup was pretty good. It was very smooth and the mushrooms gave a great bite to it. The salad didn’t seem very fresh. It seemed like they mixed fresh with older salad to make it seem more fresh. The ginger dressing was okay. The flavour was lacking a bit. Not enough ginger in it. The veggies were nicely cooked. They actually were flavoured very nicely, cooked but still a little crisp which gave the meal a nice bit of crutch. They even gave some shrimp with the veggies which was sooooooo good. The chicken was extremely dry. Even the sauce didn’t help. The steak had great texture. It extremely tender however the flavour was lacking. The rice wasn’t bad. A little dry. The eggs and peas were the best part of the rice. The most disappointing was the yellow sauce. It was the most watered down, flavour less thing I’ve eaten. It was extremely gross. This is nothing like yellow sauce.

The only reason i’m giving this place 2 stars is because the waitress was attentive and nice. We got sushi and hibachi here. The hibachi was salty yet bland. It felt like they just poured salt onto the rice. We both got the steak and shrimp. I got the student special and my fiancé got the«Regular». The student special was 15.95 while the regular was $ 18.95. It was the SAME portion, same everything. That bothered me a little bit but the shrimp bothered me more. They used FROZEN shrimp. You could taste that the shrimp was old. We also got some sushi. The rice on the rolls were COLD. Like the sushi was premade and put in the fridge. For a $ 55 dollar dinner, I expected more. I’m never coming back.

We love this place. We’ve been eating here for almost 20 yrs. The yellow sauce is to die for. Highly recommend. I’ve never tried the sushi because I don’t eat it. But otherwise everything else has always been good.

This food has declined significantly here over the past few years. We came on a Sunday night for Fathers Day to find the place understaffed, inattentive, and unprepared. Portion sizes were inconsistent and proteins were drenched in teriyaki and soy sauce. What was once a cherished family tradition has no gone significantly downhill. Seriously missing the guidance of previous owner Mr Inoko.

Inoko’s is a fun and yummy Hibachi restaurant to bring the family to for a special occasion or after Sunday morning church. The menu is affordable and the food is certainly worth it. The claim to fame here is the experience and the yellow sauce… lots and lots of yellow sauce. If you really want the full shebang then order a Ramune(Japanese Marble Soda).

Call it what you want, it’s not Japanese. Sushi is rolled so loose rice falls off. I tried one piece of the tuna roll without the soy sauce and the tuna is sour. They give you the gooey part of the fish for the eel roll. Enough said.

Inoko’s has always been our favorite restaurant in Athens! The filet mignon is out of this world and the yellow sauce is awesome too. My kids love it too!

I visit this restaurant whenever I’m back in Athens. I’ve never had a bad experience here in over 10 years. The food is great and so is the service. The prices are way lower than any place in Atlanta. The habachi grill chef’s are always entertaining. I love their sushi.

Wow, love this place. I(almost) always get the scallops, they’re huge and tasty. Really appreciate the shows by the chefs! I can’t believe there’s not more reviews here of Inoko, they’re normally busy and get a steady stream of UGA customers. Make sure you try the house(ginger) dressing, it’s tasty and unique. The prices are very reasonable, as little as $ 6.75 for teriyaki chicken at lunch. Not to mention the student discounts and early bird discounts, keep an eye out for those.

This place is pretty average. We always do hibachi when we come here, and it’s a hit or miss with the chef. By this, I mean the«hibachi show» they provide here… sometimes it’s entertaining and other times you’d really prefer to get on with it. I was a little annoyed that we had to wait 15 – 20 minutes ish on a regular weekday night… I guess they were waiting for more customers to come in so they wouldn’t have to seat us by ourselves on the hibachi table but seriously? After we waited for a while and NOBODY came in they finally sat us. What makes me give it the full 3 stars is UGA discount. Yes, they still offer it and for about(or less than) $ 10 a person, it’s a steal. Especially when they give you a TON of food. Sushi is sub-par. Got the scallop roll. It was average.
