It’s jittery Joe’s. What can I say. The dark roast pea Betty was great, no surprise. The chai tea was enjoyed by my wife. i probably should have tasted it but who am I kidding. If I’m coming to jittery Joe’s, I’m having coffee. I can have very good tea at home or at work. Coffee, it’s it. The croissants were by far the worst I have seen. The bagels looked sub par too. Need to up the game on the munchies but they probably do not sell enough to do so.

Three hour limit on WiFi is quite a pain. Most places don’t have such a limit and they shouldn’t either. The only reason to come here is if Two Story is closed. Inferior quality and customer-unfriendly WiFi policy.

I went here for the first time with my friends and I was extremely disappointed! It was Mocha Monday in which all mochas were the same price. The cashier charged me the full price for a large mocha. And refused to refund me. He would have let me leave without giving me anything but my friend asked him for a free thing. And he only offered a coffee because it «would balance it out». It did not because my bill was $ 10 and I tipped him a $ 1 before the whole thing happened. Bad Service!!!

Actually the best offer shop I have ever been too! Main reason is the atmosphere The Manager, darn forgot his name is one outstanding guy. The best soy cinnamon latte I have ever enjoyed in my nationwide travels. When in Athens for my dogs cancer treatment at UGA Animal Hospital this is now my stop! Cannot go wrong here.

This branch is always disappointing. Very poor customer service. This morning the young guy at checkout was complaining to the customers how tired he was. He had a terrible attitude. I tried to buy the coffee they were promoting but none were on display and when I asked he said he didn’t know what I was talking about so he just charged me for a random can of beans. Pastries look down right disgusting. Not to mention a line out the door with only two people working. Jittery Joe’s should have a much higher standard. Will from now on only go to Two Story Coffee in Five Points. They have amazing customer service and make much better coffee drinks.

I gave up coffee(for no reason other than I just lost the taste for it) several years ago but lately I’ve been craving a strong, dark and tasty cup of the stuff. Alas, I should have resisted temptation because my experience at this JJ’s ruined my taste for the caffeine brew for a while. The coffee itself? Good. Hot. Strong. Lots of options for sweetening or ‘milks’ which is really nice. The place? Clean(ish) with lots of comfy chairs. On the dark side but it only serves to keep things a bit cooler during the hot spring days. Parking? Nightmarishly cramped and awkward(see the crumbling cement wall to view past failed attempts to back out of lot with minimal damage) but that wasn’t the reason for the review. THESERVICE? TERRIBLE. Younger girl with pink hair was rude, monosyllabic and didn’t even tell me my total cost. She just held out her hand for the money. Slopped my coffee down. Turned away and kept chatting with coworker. Nope. Not cool. We all have bad days in the service industry but this wasn’t aloof or quiet. This was unfriendly. It really made my coffee taste a bit more bitter. :( When my desire for coffee returns then I’ll go to another location and skip this one.

I love Jittery Joe’s coffee! But this place made really bad latte last several times I went. The one in Downtown makes the best latte. I only went to the one in Five points as it is close to my home and work but the coffee has been disappointing. No flavor, just bitter at the end. It is surprising that they make this low level of latte with the same coffee in other branches.

Good coffee outside Athens without a ton of red and black, and I can see why it’s so popular up there. I also had a yogurt parfait that was pretty good and made with fresh fruit that cured my hunger from a very early wake-up call. I’m glad we stopped in here rather than the WaHo across the street.

Nice ambience. Sub-par mango smoothie. Not sure why the mango smoothie was $ 4.75…

On my gloomy day trip to Athens, I decided I needed something to keep me warm. I stopped by and ordered a chai latte with soy milk. The guys that work there were really nice and friendly. The drink was superb! The sweetness level was perfect. I will definitely stop by Jittery Joe’s again when I visit Athens.

Solid coffee, with a lot of options. I had the Cubano with steamed milk, which is more like a Café con Leche. It was $ 2.50 and pretty good. Prices were reasonable and the gals working were very, very, very nice. I saw they had a coffee they did a collaboration with Terrapin and Left Hand, I almost pulled the trigger on it, but decided I would go back and grab it later. I forgot and I’m not kicking myself. Luckily, you can order it online.

I wish Jittery Joe’s had a location in Greenville, SC. This is a cool, hip, chill-tastic place. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but well worth it! It reminded me a bit like being in a eco-conscious grocery store, very simple but has style. Try the Crackaccino, you wonnnnnnntttttt be disappointed!
Good –used books for sale –great environment to study –nice outside patio seating Bad –service –overpriced drinks –parking is extremely limited

Great coffee, setting, and staff. A lot of dark wood and soft lighting. Also, plenty of windows. Great for a long work session. Parking can be difficult, but plenty around in the neighborhood.

We went around 9pm(over the summer). I was there to just enjoy a turtle mocha(chocolate with caramel), which was only okay(for my taste). They also had King of Pops, but not too many selections when I was there. I believe my boyfriend said it was $ 3 a piece. STUDYING: It was pretty quite and most of the people there were simply studying. I liked the wood furniture(tables and chairs), most tables seated 4 people but studying-wise, I’d think would fit 2, maybe 3, people. I would say the lighting was a bit dim and I definitely did not see many outlets. Parking was a bit tight. Restroom was relatively clean. They also had a microwave there. I would come again.

If I lived in Athens, I’d go everyday. Friendly staff, wifi, and delicious coffee all in a cozy shop. We go there whenever we’re in Athens.

Wow I love this place. I have never been to a coffee shop that was so perfectly a coffee-shop vibe. The used books for sale, the smell of fresh ground beans, and people quietly typing reading chatting. The whole place made me want to curl up and read a good book. I had the mexican mocha which was great, tell them to make it extra hot. I went back another day(went there about three times in a three day trip) and had one the the steamers with peppermint. I had never had that and it was sooooo tasty. Bought a jar of ethopian blend coffee, and that too was great. Love this place!!!

HAHAHA. I just read the comment a few comments down and this is an excerpt from it: «This is a coffee shop folks! Know the lingo if you work in one! When I made myself clear, I was served the doppio in a paper cup. Any good barista would know to serve espresso in a demitasse unless otherwise specified. The espresso was blah.» Seriously, friend??? The person that wrote this seems to have his/her standards a bit high for coming to a small college town called Athens. Standards like that are surely a product of a ritsy vibe like the upper east side NYC. Or perhaps he/she comes from East Cobb. Whichever, I’m not judging. I’m just saying that Jittery Joes is not your fancy fine dining sort of coffee house. It’s gritty. It’s grungy. It doesn’t claim to be classy and I don’t think it could be anyway. But that’s what makes it special. I mean, you can tell which tables are the nicest by the fact that the nice ones only have a tiny wobble as opposed to almost falling over broken. It flies under the radar and serves up coffee, goodies and indy/emo atmosphere. End of story. Don’t read between the lines. What you see is what you get. And what you get is a coffeehouse that’s been worn in but never worn down. oh ps– When using credit cards, the minimum they can charge is $ 1.00. So those refills are a dollar if you’re charging; or 85 cents otherwise.
