I’ve stayed here twice and have been pleased with the room. I like that they have left some of the retro charm with the knotty pine walls and the color fixtures and tiles in the bathroom. Could have used more water pressure in the shower. The air is nice and cold, the wifi works great and the bedding is clean and new looking. They have put in new flat screen TV’s since my last visit. Some of the electrical plugs aren’t 3 pronged so that limits where the computer can be plugged in. The carpet was also new and the towels were thick. I like a motel where you can park right at your door. Old fashioned but fine with me.

This was the only place that was not sold out for Mom’s weekend months before the event. I guess it was better than sleeping in kids dorm, but maybe not. Old, dirty, yucky and had a distinct odor(not sure what this was). Windows fogged up, wallpaper peeling, dirty mattress(yes I always pull up sheets and look at that). I did not take my shoes off the entire time I was there. Luckily the rest of my time in Athens was great and I am going to book today for next year. All the other hotels looked nice.

At about half the price of other properties in town, I did not expect much. My room was clean and very spacious. Large rooms is a Knights Inn trademark, I believe. Of course there are issues. Staff are very loud in the hallway outside my room, breakfast room closed more than 30 minutes early, shower was not optimal(more water came out faucet than top), fridge and a/c are too loud. All in all, about what I expected and they delivered.

I’m not sure I’ve been treated more rude in a hotel in my life. The hotel receptionist(which I actually believe is the owner) was so short and just flat out mean at every interaction. The worst was when I called up front to get a cab called for us and she said«I have a number of one, you can come get it and call for one yourself». I don’t think I know a hotel that won’t call a cab for you. Rooms are beat up pretty good, the tv was so old and bad that they might as well not even had one. Beds are basic, but clean. Bathrooms are incredibly small and also in pretty ragged shape. I probably would have called this a 1.5−2 star hotel, but the poor service gives it the wretched single star.

Exceptionally clean! Very good deal yet had micro and fridge in room. Bathroom is dated but clean and could be cute if decorated it retro style, tile purple and pink but in excellent condition. My only concerns are an off smell, it was too cool to open the window. Also I was in the last room so I couldn’t pick up the Wi-Fi signal. Regardless an overall excellent value.

Here I sit in Room 309. My partner has found 2 dead roaches behind the nightstand & bed. There is mold/mildew on the bathroom ceiling. The mattresses are encased with plastic & the wall to my right has dirt smudges all over it. There is cheap laminate on the floors(light colored– better to see the roaches I guess). Had to ask the front desk for towels. Stayed here b/c I have in the past & was looking to save a little money. Don’t remember it sucking so badly. Never again. Do not recommend.
