Great little home cooking buffet place. Servers are always friendly. 3 – 4 different meat selections that vary each day with vegetable and salad choices. Great buffet and only $ 9 for the meal with drink included. Selection are limited but the mash potatoes and fried chicken are always great. Great value for the price.

The quality of food and their service staff were excellent. The only drawback was the condition and appearance of parking lot which needs improvement. This restaurant primarily caters to working class clientele but as a retiree I felt just as welcome.

When you need to eat a soulful lunch — all you can eat — you should come here. The service is absolutely friendly, and the food is abundant and delicious. Fried chicken, mashed taters, gravy, okra, catfish, chow chow, corn muffins, green beans, collard greens, and a glass that never gets half empty of sweet tea.
The Southern lunch spots in Athens are dwindling. It’s great to see the parking lot full Monday-​Friday during lunch hours at Plantation.
Don’t forget to bring an appetite. The cooks don’t like it if you only eat one plate.

I’m very surprised I’m the first one here to write a review. The food is awesome-​licious, and the price is so fair.
Best Southern cooking in town. The menu isn’t too extensive but the food is more than fine!
