I went to Dr. Sexton to check on a handful of moles last year. It’s a kind of vulnerable situation, because I have no idea what is serious and what is normal. An overly lax doctor could ignore a potentially serious abnormal mole. A doctor looking to drum up business could decide to needlessly biopsy a bunch of healthy skin. I wouldn’t be any the wiser. Dr. Sexton hit the mark – seriously following up on an abnormal mole but calmly and realistically putting it into context. She answered my questions completely, but even better, she anticipated my concerns by explaining both what she did and why. Until recently, she shared a practice on Cobb Street with David Lockman, and that’s where I went for the initial exam and subsequent treatment. In December 2008, she opened her new office out on Epps Bridge.
